Good Morning Saturday, 28th February 2026

It is a very good morning from me on this slightly cloudy but otherwise warmish day. Not much of a range of temperatures because of the clouds, last night it only got down to 20° but the maximum was only something like 25°.

I went for my morning walk under very overcast skies with the sun just breaking through occasionally, in fact I started just before sunrise. On my return home I got stuck into cutting up the branches that are left over from my tree trimming exploits.

Even though it is months away, I also started to gather together the equipment I shall need for my trip to the UK because it is quite different to what I use for domestic travel and I know my propensity for putting things in “safe places” and never being able to find them again.

Apart from that it is Saturday and the weekend, so that can’t be bad can it? Enjoy the break.

Take care…

Good morning all!

I usually start by describing the weather situation, don’t think I’ll bother today, I’m sure you’ll know why if you’re one of our Brit forum members! :slightly_frowning_face:

I’m meeting a friend for lunch today, my dainty oxbloods need some loving attention so I’m just about to indulge in some spit and polish…

Probably settle down with a DVD this evening and just mellow out! :v::sunglasses:

Have a scintillating Saturday people! :+1:

Good morning all…

It seems yet again the weather has improved down here in darkest Hampshire. I would normally go to a local bird conservation park with my trusty camera, but it is still damp and the forecast is still rainy. I also want to get to the local zoological park which is another favourite spot for taking snaps. But as always, I need good light and dry weather. That said, there is a bird hide I sometimes go to and maybe I can try for there later.

As for today, no idea what’s going on. Probably go for a coffee later, possibility of shopping to follow, perhaps a walk along the sea front to watch all the cruise ships go by. For some reason, the wife likes nothing more than to park up by the seafront and eat fish and chips (making my car smell) and watching the world go by, so that could be happening later.

Anyways, have a great day all…

Good morning!
Cloudy, dry, dull but getting slightly brighter

Well, today I think I’ll make a start on one of my hobbies!

To remind you, for most of Jan & Feb I’ve had an awful bout of flu which lingered on for ages, and left me feeling weak & tired
But now I’m feeling better, and I can’t put it off any longer – I’m going to do something!

I have a few hobbies, including making model planes; making knives; leatherwork
A few weeks ago I saw a YT Video about making wooden jewellery, and have since watched several Videos, mostly on wooden necklace pendants, and it seems reasonable enough
So I thought I’d make a start on that
I haven’t actually made any wooden jewellery yet so I expect there will be a fair amount of finding things, poking & planning, tea drinking, and generally sizing up t’job
We shall see…

Morning all – a lovely sunny start to the day. I was due to meet up with some friends last night for a dance recital some of them were involved in but it was cancelled at the last minute which was a disappointment. It is my neighbour’s birthday today and I have been invited to a get together they are having later today

Took my printer into the computer man – he will clean the heads and get back to me, apparently this not an unusual problem

My brother rang this morning – the good news is that the new medication he is taking is continuing to work and he is now attending the gym 3 times a week, although he did say he overdid it the last time he went so will be easing off a bit!

Take care - have a great day everyone
