Good morning to you all on a rather dull but warm day in the high 20s. The winds are very warm from the north west but no sun so far.
Did two loads of washing this morning, the first load was dry before the second load was put on the line - low humidity and the warm breeze makes all the difference.
Rang my brother yesterday arvo, I have to say the time seemed to crawl past waiting for 5.30pm so it was a reasonable time in the UK (8.30am I hope). He seemed OK after his stroke, perhaps a bit slower than normal but OK. He was bored having been home for a week and stuck in the house.
I must admit that I was very surprised that he had no follow up appointment with a specialist, that can’t be right can it? Here when you leave hospital you leave with an appointment at the specialist no matter.what - whether you actually go is another matter but for a stroke I would have thought that was essential.
I also spoke to my daughter working in Singapore, her deployment(?) finishes on Sunday and she should be home on Tuesday morning. Just in time for her birthday on the Friday!
The warm weather is nice but I wish the sun was shining too.
Well I’m up to date with appointments - teeth, hair, eyes, all done!
Bored now! … I’ll catch up on some tidying
I still haven’t bought a new cordless stick vacuum cleaner, so I could do that, even though the store will probably be busy, so I’ll see if they are open in the evening; or more likely I’ll leave it a couple of days till next week
Good morning - Bright and sunny at the moment but there is a weather front approaching from the Atlantic, so rain later by the looks of it. A walk to the Co-op to get a few things that were forgotten on the Monday main shopping trip. It’s one of the children’s Birthday tomorrow, so cakes to be made and a few goodies to be bought.
True SF. Sleeping isn’t good in hospital. Have you got some ear plugs? If not, I believe they have them on the ward if you ask for them. Might help.

I managed a pre-dawn run and it’s flat out beautiful this morning. September and October bring calm seas, so the water is crystal clear as far as the eye can see. I ran into my neighbor who was griping about the state park folks driving their four-wheelers on the beach, but as your keen eyes will notice; those aren’t tire tracks:
Those are the flipper tracks of a loggerhead who laid a late season nest! It will be tough for those little ones to make it for 60 days without the temperatures dropping too low, but we are crossing our fingers. Interestingly enough, these cool-weather nests will yield more males than females.
Saturdays in the fall also brings with it (American) college football, so I am soon off to the store for portobello mushrooms for veggie burgers later in the day. I am also hoping to get out front for a little gardening, but it all depends on game day.
We should put her in a room with my nephew, who is likewise unable to talk about what he does for a living. It would be quiet enough for @swimfeeders to get a good night’s sleep !
