Good morning everyone, looks like being another pleasant day here weatherwise with broken cloud and 22 °c, perfect…
Not much on my agenda, after our walk through the forest first thing it’ll be just a lazy day pottering around, so I may try to find time to trim the hound but we’ll see, no pressure…
A very different night, it was quiet apart from the beeps from my monitor.
There was a lot of traffic on the bypass last night, all going to Wales known to us locals as the Birmingham Armada.
We have a full ward ten ladies and six men, no screamers, but one hilarious escaper, a tiny little lady, butter wouldn’t melt looks, favourite expression,a loud Bugger Off.
Rather overcast here at the moment. The only thing on my agenda is the exciting walk round to my pharmacy, to see if my repeat meds are ready. Other than that, nothing much. Fed up with rising prices in shops and SMS, so won’t go out shopping now for a few more days.
I had to pop to Morrisons yesterday for bread and milk and was disgusted to see yet more rises in their prices, it is every week.
Scary isn’t it Jazzi prices just continue to rise.
Nothing much planned except this weekend…going to my sons at some point to see some home improvements they are making and also out with pals for a meal but we haven’t arranged where yet…
Builders are here on Monday they aren’t fussed about a day off so I’m pleased about that
Been playing with my fountain pens. I’ve been watching some YouTube videos on fountain pens to help me sleep. I’m picking up tips here and there. Tried some out today.
Looking forward to talking to my favorite person on the phone later.
Weather was cooler yesterday. Not sure yet about today.
Another busy one today. Up early to cook. Cleaned all the bedrooms, changed sheets etc. Then food shopping to buy a few essentials as well as a few snacks for my son who was invited to join a group of his friends from school to watch KSI vs Swarmz.
Didn’t want him to go empty handed (what I was taught growing up). He said not to worry their friend is buying all the food and paying for the cost of the pay-per-view. He received a message this morning from his friend asking them to chip in with a few quid for the cost of everything! Would suspect the parents/guardians are not too happy for ten teenage boys to eat them out of house and home.
Apart from that. The sun was out today - very warm. Had a good stint in the lovely air conditioned gym.
Will need to ensure that I continue when I’m back at school next week. I know after a few weeks I’m in danger of falling into the same routine. That will be my biggest challenge. The next few weeks will be the litmus test.
Afternoon awl and sundry. Had a good long stroll. There is a park by the schools and Max gets me to chases imaginary birds and waits for me to instruct him. Good exercise. Back home and the grand kids are still in bed. I thought their dad was coming to collect them today. Seems not. My daughter is in Lithuania but she wont be back for a few more a few more days so the dad will have to bring them home.
I’m not trying to be mysterious, but it is a mystery. One of my sprinkler valves has been leaking for a couple years now. For a bunch of reasons, I haven’t had it fixed yet, so there’s a puddle under it during the summer when I’m watering the lawn.
That day, when I went to turn on the water, the puddle was gone, and the sprinkler valve wasn’t leaking.
When i turned the water back on, it started leaking again. But when I turned it off, it looks like it stopped leaking for that moment. I can’t explain it.
I thought someone might have done something, but everything looks the same as it did before.
