Good Morning on this sunny but cool Saturday top temp only in the low 20s (I have grown accustomed to better things)
I am home, set off at 7.30am from Dubbo - @macywack would have loved it, all winding roads designed by someone with Parkinson’s. The Blue Mountains was its usual weekend traffic hell.
Ironically the weather here while I have been away has been bucketing down with record breaking rain falls, today the sun is out. I still have not see rain since I left at the end of April.
Have a great weekend, I need a bit of a lie down before my daughter and her hubby arrives this evening.
Pouring down here in West Sussex too Bruce, well it is a bank holiday weekend! Still, mustn’t complain, gardens and agriculture need it. Our reservoirs are well stocked as are the aquifers in the south east but up until now the ground was becoming parched.
I was going into town with Chilli jnr today but we might just put that off until tomorrow and have a day at home. A glass of something red and a bowl of olives later I think.
Good morning from the city of Romeo and Juliet, for anyone who studied Shakespeare in their school days. Verona of course. We managed to get here, despite the strike, only a 20.minute delay. The grey clouds have followed me right across the whole country from the bottom to the top of our “boot”, which is a nickname for our country, because of its shape. It isn’t raining luckily, although it was pouring at home when we went to the station. The weather should get better according to forecasts, we don’t need anymore rain.
I’ll post some photos later.
Oh by the way, there are so many British and American tourists here.
Morning everyone from a grey and overcast Hampshire.
Not a lot happening today, “Mrs G” has an appointment with a specialist, then off to find something to eat, then yet shopping and whatever. She wants me to drive her to a Retail Outlet centre for yet more cloths shopping, being not happy with the last batch of clothes for our cruise next month. I wanted to go somewhere with my camera, but hate shooting in grey cloudless light, so I’ll probably not bother.
There has been overnight rain. Cloudy but dry at present. We needed the rain. Not much going on today but friends are coming here for a curry this evening. We’ll have to go the shop later to buy a pudding for afters.
Morning all. There was some rain early morning, the first in weeks ! Lot of happening today - my wife and friend are going shopping, I’m not ! I and the dog will keep company.
Felt very lazy yesterday and did very little apart from some housework, surfing the internet and reading my book. Today having checked the travel insurance cover I have to book flights for my visit to Australia and organise a visa (that is if my brother hasn’t contacted to Embassy to object!)
He rang this morning to let me know Mum’s funeral went smoothly, only family and a couple of friends there. A couple of the carers from the nursing home also attended which I thought was lovely of them.
This forum gets more and more confusing (and hilarious)! Apparently as a “new” member I am only allowed to comment on a thread 5 times (Feey’s quiz - I actually know a couple of the missing answers but can’t post them ) I have been a member since 2023!! Wonder what else I can do to annoy the bots?
An early visit to Tesco while Mrs Fox had a shower and tarted herself up for the forthcoming table top sale at the church hall. After putting away the shopping I loaded up the car with all the stuff, and safely delivered Mrs Fox and goods to the hall and left them to it…
Looking forward to a nice quiet day…
Just had a breakthrough with my printer. I bought some printer ink from Tesco a while back, and after only a few printoffs it was telling me that the ink had run out. Although the cartridges were a bit cheaper than the canon ones I did expect them to last longer than they did.
Thank the Lord for youtube, there was a bloke on there who had the same problem and I’ve just fixed it…
Hallelujah! The Lord moves in mysterious ways…
