Good morning all on the start of yet another heatwave.
My child minding job has been cancelled and my daughter’s husband is going onto nightshift so I am returning to Wollongong this arvo. so I can enjoy Australia Day far from the madding crowds.
I flew by drone this morning but I could not get it circle round a POI so I need to revise how to do it, very annoyed with myself.
I hope your chicken thighs turned out nice @Eliza. I used to buy them a lot, they were cheap (dark meat) and full of flavour but like lamb have suddenly become popular with the price correspondingly rising and no longer as economical.
@Bruce , yes the meal was nice , such a quick and easy one ,Used frozen stir fry veg , and a pkt of Sweet and Sour. sauce …I have another pair of thighs today to cook, so will have them with Rice and a Chilli and Garlic sauce.
I did some baking yesterday , not done any in ages , made some fruit cakes, I put 8 in the Freezer and I think I scoffed 8… I think this is why I don’t bake , I 'don’t have to share with anyone and I don’t like waste .
We should see some sun today, according to the weatherman, tomorrow I have a visitor and we shall be walking in the rain .
@Bruce
It was on the news here that people with 100gm drones have to register now ,and take a Theory test online .Where as before it was for heavy ,bigger ones …
Looks like its going to be a sunny day here (for once) down here is southern Hampshire. I think we are shopping again today (subject to wife approval) and maybe meeting up with her sister for coffee later. But naturally, none of that will happen before my coffee fix and possibly a fried breakfast.
Just about to set off for Bridlington, there’s a nice garden centre there that do nice lunches, will have a stroll along the prom if there’s time and Mrs Fox doesn’t get caught up with all the enticing things in the shop. Daughter and hubby are coming too so it will be a nice day out.
The sun is streaming through the window at the moment and Rosie the cat has assumed her position on the window sill in her basket.
AT LAST. Just got the letter from the DVLA via Specsaves for the eye test. it has taken from October last year to get it. This is only after I contacted Specsavers and forwarded a copy they had.
This is after returning the form in October, 4 phones calls and another on line form direct to the DVLA. If any GOV dept should be investigated for negligence it is this one that deal with eye medical applications DVLA phone number 0345 4501828 where you are lied to at least as many times as you call
Anything under 250gm for recreational use doesn’t need registering or a licence. However the same drone used for commercial purposes like real estate agents need to register but don’t need a licence. Heavier drones have different rules.
Actually I was getting a bit cross because I couldn’t get the drone to do something I have done with it before. I just ended up taking photos rather than videos.
