Good Morning Saturday, 23rd November 2024

Good Morning to you all on this very warm Saturday.

To my surprise I took both dogs out for a walk this morning. I thought I would try it because I could always come straight home if it was unmanageable but they were both excellent and well behaved. The only finny thing was that they both wanted to be on the outside so would drop back slightly and then come up on the other side of the other dog.

The hardest part was trying to take a photo holding the leads and operating the phone at the same time.

While the morning was still cool I spent some time clearing the garden of leaves and weeds but as I write this the day is definitely warming up.

It is supposed to be 30° today and a heatwave is expected over the next few days, I forget the definition of a heatwave but it is something like temperatures for at least three days over so many degrees above the average. There is a high over the Tasman channelling hot air down from the tropics.

Enjoy your restful weekend be it hot or cold. Take care…

Good morning - A bit gusty out there this morning. We’re just on the edge of the weather warnings for storm Bert …so storm Bert won’t hert  It might get worse later.

Got a bit of shopping to get in while the rain is holding off. Mrs mart will be cutting my hair this afternoon.

Have a good day.

Morning all – heavy rain and strong winds today but at least it is warmer with temperatures around 9c today! This weather is due to “Storm Bert” (who thinks of these names!) and is set to be with us for the whole weekend. An area just a couple of miles away is without power at the moment which is worrying.

Neighbours finally got home around 8.00 last night, apparently the airline has lost one of their suitcases! At least I made them smile when I said that on the bright side they didn’t have to unpack!

A very pleasant man called to look at the broken blind (from a local family run company I have used before) – told him I had decided to have new ones made for my bedroom and the spare room. He measured up and had some useful advice on the new blinds – he even took away the broken one!

As I am no longer on cat servant duties I didn’t get up until after 8.00, was able to take my time having a shower and getting dressed and have just finished a leisurely breakfast

As the weather is so bad I will not be venturing out – I could spend the time catching up with some paperwork or just chill out reading – decisions, decisions

Take care – hope everyone has an enjoyable day
