Good Morning Saturday, 1st August 2026

Good morning to you all and Happy Birthday to all the horses out there (apparently they are all born on 1st August).

I was out early, clad in pullover, feather jacket and all the other accoutrements to get milk, biscuits and all the other things I had allowed to run out before I went away.

Slept fairly well all things considered last night, I stayed awake until after 10pm before going to bed however I did wake at 3am and had trouble getting back to sleep but am hoping I have beaten the worst of jet lag.

When I arrived in Singapore yesterday I thought I had most of the day to wait before leaving again as I thought it was about 6am (analogue watch) turns out it was 6pm and I only had a couple of hours to wait. These airlines are quite canny with their sleeping arrangements.

Spent most of the morning getting organised, had to find my normal wallet and keys, took the car out for a drive to get the oil and air con moving, put my passports away, charge up camera and drone batteries. It is all go :icon_wink:

My son rang from Darwin, my daughter from the snow (mad!) so it has been a busy morning.

Enjoy your weekend.

Take care…

Hi Bruce

Great to have you back.

Things have changed for me since you went away.

I have got worse which is very frustating for me.

I am no longer self medicating, I am on a very rigid time system for the different meds and food.

I need to take different meds and food every 2 hours which is a right pain, I am always tired,

On the bright side, life may be hell it keeps me alive.

Have a great day all.

Sorry to hear that SF but every day that we are on this side of the grass is a good day.

Good morning!
Dry, no wind, but the cloud is building up slightly

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve done a load of cleaning & tidying, so now I can tackle hobbies & other more interesting jobs with a clear conscience

The first job is to replace the zip on a leather jacket
And at the speed I go that could take a few days
Then I’ll worry about what to do next

So Bruce you you stopped off in Singapore to hunt for Kangaroos I guess. Did you find any?

The stop in Singapore was to refuel.

QANTAS is the only airline about to offer non stop Sydney to London. The airline’s symbol is the Flying Kangaroo. I was flying with British Airways.
