Good morning all, much quieter weather this morning but much colder too, with a coating of snow on the garden and cars.
Back now from walking the dogs and there are quite a few trees down in the forest but not too surprising I guess. Not too much damage here apart from losing a few panes of glass from the greenhouse which is annoying, but nowhere near as bad as some people have suffered so no complaints…
Morning Barry and all who follow.
Much quieter here in Keynsham. Going to finish watching the curling final then will inspect my fence to see if it’s repairable.
Hope everyone is ok after yesterday
Morning everyone, a bit dull here, but at least it’s nice and calm now.
We had no damage here, but a fence came down in my daughter’s garden. Luckily it’s her neighbour’s boundary, though even if not it wouldn’t have cost her as it’s a rental property.
No plans for the day as yet, I will just go where the day takes me.
Enjoy your Saturday folks
A late good morning . We started off calmer and sunny this morning but it’s now building again , horrible thick grey clouds and fast gusting winds but less powerful . The huge bouncy castle trampoline thing that was blown into next doors garden is still there bumping around I guess too blowy to dismantle and collect. Any way I’m going out to the pub for lunch with a friend I have cabin fever!
It was dry but dull early on, with not much wind, but for the past hour or so it has been snowing fairly heavily, but it looks like wet stuff that will melt soon
Nothing much planned, I have food in, so just pottering about indoors.
Did laundry this morning, after early dog walk. Another walk about 11.30, I heated a pasty, then went to see my sister as I was bored. Ended up phoning lots of people to come and look at her fencing.
Now doing chicken and rice for Holly, and neighbour messaged me, do I want pie and mash later? Oooh yes please!! Yum.
Gosh yes, it was the best thing I did (well, one of the best!). Socially I still meet up with a few ladies from the old coffee group, at my local cafe, hoping a few more will attend. I now have Norwich closer to get to (love going there, and it is so easy, just 35 minutes by train, through the countryside).
I feel incredibly lucky to be living here. Good neighbours. Speak to a lot of people when out with the dog. Several dog carers to take her when I need to be out/on holiday. And friends and family left behind in London and Essex still on the end of the phone, as most of them always were! And the beauty spots on our doorstep (sister lives 10 minutes away by car) that we can get to.
