I must attempt some tidying up indoors today. Hoovered downstairs yesterday but that was as far as I was wanting to do, with my painful foot. It still hurts but I have only taken two of the meds given me yesterday. Was told it’s traumatic arthritis, but treatment is the same as for gout so you never know, it may help!
I must get into town this morning, to the library and then to Wilko. Hoping for older sister to phone this afternoon.
And crikey, it has been two weeks since I went to the allotment. Heaven knows what the weeds are like, and I still haven’t finished the greenhouse.
Good morning all , @swimfeeders a rare event indeed , now dont do anything till your helpers get back on Tuesday , Keep out of Hospital at all cost .
We had rain in the night , but this morning is like a nice Autumn day , I have family coming to stay the later half of the coming week , so may make the beds up now , I shall feel less rushed .
@Jazzi do what ever you have to do to get a quick recovery , Feet are important so look after them …
It seems nobody takes this antisocial behaviour seriously. I seen this in my local paper yesterday and thought of you.
I hope you get some peace in the very near future, it must be terrible for you x
Good Morning from Foxy’s painful world…
For the last two days I’ve had a torrid time with an inflamed and swollen ankle. I’ve not even been able to walk on it. It woke me up on Thursday night and I had to resort to the Ibuprofen to get back to sleep. I was in intense pain most of the day yesterday, and by the evening I had to bring out the big guns not wanting to experience another painful night…Ibuprofen and two paracetamol in one go…
It seemed to work, I slept soundly until six this morning. It felt a bit better this morning, and the Tesco trolley provided me with support as Mrs Fox and me limped around the isles.
Just under a year ago, I was bitten by some red ants which somehow got inside my gardening boot. I moved an old scaffolding plank which had been lying in a patch of grass on the veg plot. I wasn’t aware of a thing until my foot and ankle began to swell up - just as in your pic.
It was too painful to walk on and I couldn’t wear any shoes. Used antihistamine cream and ibuprofen. Took a few days for the swelling to go down and was eventually able to wear a pair of wellingtons to walk or an old carpet slipper.in the garden.
@OldGreyFox , I also think you should have it checked out . I didnt know you could have Gout in your ankle , I thought it was just in Toes .
With your heart condition I would want to be sure its not connected , Swollen Ankles come with that .
Thanks for posting that! It’s a good reminder that reporting it is the right thing to do. At least that person’s problem got recognized at some point. It’s the reason I’m keeping audio and video recordings of the problem and decibel meter recordings, showing the illegal level based on the ordinance.
Hopefully at some point someone will care. At least it’s documented.
Yes you’re definitely doing the right things it’s just a shame that it takes so long for the problem to be recognised and acted upon.
Hope to get some help soon x
