Good Morning From Foxy’s World…
My heart was won over by a red Citroen C3 Aircross in Sheffield yesterday.
It looked the business, and after a test drive I was swept away. Bloke at the garage said take it out on yer own and give it some welly up the hills of Sheffield and see what you think…It was brill and I signed up after he gave me a good price for my old car…
It’s very similar to this one but a different reg and it’s a 22 plate…
Pick it up on Monday…
Off to Cleethorpes now for some lunch and to burn off some diesel, I inadvertently put 50 quids worth of diesel in my old car on Saturday. Well! how did I know I was going to buy a new motor…
RIP Omah…
Good morning. I hope you and your new car will be very happy together. It Looks great.
Went to my brother’s (R.I.P.) house this morning to open up the curtains and spray some fabric freshener about the place. Hope it sells this time. Then on to the local Co-op to by some goodies for this evening. Got some friends coming here for a curry.
Going to get my recently fitted nephrostomy dressing tube and bag changed this afternoon and Mrs mart is going to get her recently badly injured leg dressing changed. Two consecutive appointments with the district nurse. We’re not having a great time lately.
Morning all – some sunshine this morning but cloudy with a forecast of showers this afternoon
Nice looking car OGF - not that I know anything about cars!
My planned walk yesterday didn’t happen! After lunch I decided to read for a short while and then go for the walk – I fell asleep! I haven’t slept during the day since I was a child, in my defence I had very little sleep on Thursday night. Didn’t get much sleep last night either – there is a place about 15 minutes walk away which often holds outdoor events, last night there was music playing very loudly until after midnight! I keep reminding myself how loud we used to play our music when we were young(er)!
I am expecting two books to be delivered today so I went to the shop early. One of my lovely neighbours was tending her garden when I arrived home and we had a long chat – she is very kind but being Italian is also very talkative!
Take care - have a good day
Enjoy, Mr Foxy!
Mart, I am very hopeful that you and Mrs. Mart are quickly on the mend and can get back to time more enjoyably spent.
Sheila, you will have to share your book reviews when finished.
OGF, your new car looks like the right combination of snazzy and functional. I like the color! It definitely needs cross rails for surfboards , though .
It’s raining buckets, which has put the damper on anything exciting today. I’ve been tutoring my daughter in advanced statistics, but she’s been procrastinating. With these Noah-esque conditions, we both have a date with calculators and pencils for the rest of the day. To salve the computational suffering, I’ll think I’ll do what my Alaskan friends do when they are weather depressed and fill the house with music opposite of the mood. Tropical tunes, it is!
I’ll also be back to pitching more useless thing later, and something tells me that with this rain, there will be all sorts of frogs, toads, snakes, and crabs to run off. The house is on pilings and the garage, storage, and workshops are only partial enclosed with louvered panels, so the river creatures use it at their convenience as a break from the stress of their world. Someone knock me in the head the next time I decide living on an estuary (fancy word for SWAMP) was a good idea .
Have a dry day!
Just been on a photographic site I am a member of. It always amazes me when someone asks a specific question how other read things into it. May be asking about a new camera for example and replies are about used cameras. I am sure many don’t actually read or even can’t read what has been posted and give replies not asked for
Did an evening walk just now and the leg I hurt didn’t so much this time
and now it’s evening here…began as dark and rainy and now lovely sunny and warmish…
Catching up from yesterday, nice car OGF
I was off the grid near a river and an old ford for the night - it was probably the original road but made obsolete by the bridge
Thanks Bruce, glad you are okay. I guessed you might be in an internet blackspot. If you weren’t back on today I would have had to assemble some forum members to come and search for you…
