A much cooler day, with some rain forecast.
After feeling so good yesterday I had a terrible night and still feeling exhausted and very clammy.

Still I’m here now , it’s a lovely cottage …seen barn owls and bats.

Bright & dry & sunny & hot again
I’m having a day out in Todmorden!
Or to be more correct, I’ll be going to a community workshop
They do woodwork, repair electrical goods, bicycles, furniture & other items; repair & play around with old computers; and have a textile section to repair & make clothing and other items, and learn how to sew & use a sewing machine
I mentioned my hobby of knife making and several people were interested, so I’m taking a bag of bits to show them how I do it.

And I’ll mention my plans for tomorrow, Sunday 18 th June as I won’t be here
I’m going to Scorton Steam Gathering, just to the north of Garstang, Lancashire
But as it’s such nice weather I’m going to drive overnight and doze in the car for a few hours so I’ll be there early and hopefully avoid the queues
Of course, they’ve been forecasting the end of the heatwave & thunderstorms for the past week or more, so it would be typical for that to finally happen tomorrow
Oh well, it’s all part of the fun!

Glad you managed to get here, 7 hours?
A complete nightmare, normally 5 hours from Shrewsbury to Cowes.
You have missed the blazing sunshine, and the thunderstorms.
Bottled water was being given out in Church Stretton last week as the pumping station was knocked out by lightening.
The Long Mynd is gorgeous for walking, but keep away from the Gliding Club.
If you have time go over to Ratlinghope and the Stiperstones, not far away but even more gorgeous.
Much less touristy.
Enjoy your weekend, you deserve it and stay away from the Tourist Traps.

Today I’m going to see the Bodyguard musical 
I was supposed to be accompanied by Lion Queen but her dad is very poorly and she has had to cancel so hubby is coming with me instead…I’m hoping Lion Queens dad is OK…for those who remember she is very close with her dad so she is having a traumatic time right now.

I will stay indoors, hopefully, keep out of the worst of the heat. I have things I can find to do. Then if I feel up to it, after I’ve fed Holly mid afternoon, might take the strimmer to the allotment. So much needs cutting down.
A rather cool start to the day here which is more comfortable .Thunderstorms forcast for Sunday and Monday here but it depends on the day .
@zuludog hope you have good weather tomorrow for the steam gathering .
@Ripple have a nice holiday sounds like a nice cottage , Ive not seen an Owl in ages .But theres been a bat swooping at dusk over my garden .

Tough day yesterday. I talked to the police for a while. It was less helpful than I hoped. I’ll have to reflect on what I want to do next.
Today will be spent trying to recover if the music isn’t too incredibly blasting.
