Good Morning Saturday, 16th May 2026

Good morning on this surprisingly pleasant day, I was expecting rain but got sunshine.

Walk as always followed by a trip to Big W and Woollies, with daughter.

Busy morning 3D printing and calculating.

Enjoy the weekend.

Take care…

Good morning all! :partly_sunny:

Another pleasant start here in semi-sunny Sussex, drizzle later but that’s not too bad🙂
Made an executive decision and decided to get back to some early morning fishing during the next few days.

I’m a member or the local angling club and we have the lovely mill pond to fish from

It’s all of a five minute stroll from my front door, perfect!
Just have to sort out the tackle and a little outdoor cooking stuff from my cupboards.

Bank Holiday next weekend, hopefully live music outside my local, weather permitting…well it is a Bank Holiday :open_mouth::cloud_with_lightning::tornado::umbrella:

Have a good Saturday people!:v::+1:

Morning all – once again a bright sunny start, then cloud, rain and cold. I think we have slipped into “Groundhog Day”!

Lovely photos Chilliboot, I could sit and look at that lake all day (if the weather permitted!)

Tried to make an appointment with the hairdresser – she can’t fit me in for 2 weeks! Seems it isn’t only Doctors and Dentists who are difficult to get appointments with! Oh well, I shall just have to spend the next couple of weeks looking like an ungroomed yeti!

Nothing planned for today except a little light housework

Take care – have a great day

Thanks to all you good morning’ers for your concern following my recent fall. My arm and buttock seemed to take the worst of it…This is the state of my arm…

As for the buttock…Definitely not!.. :018:
Each time I get in the shower I seem to find a new bruise.
You’re right Swim, the blood thinners make the bruising so much worse.
The phone call wasn’t that urgent after all Rose, it was just the bloke coming to finish off my fence, he rang off and I had to call him back anyway… :009:

We’ve got the Eurovision song contest to look forward to tonight… :icon_cry:
Our daughter and her hubby are coming for tea and discussions, there’s no way that they will tolerate that on the telly… :009:

Just off to find a garden centre for lunch…My life used to be so exciting, how did it come to this…

Hi

Good Morning All

Stuck inside again, to keep my brain active I have started researching the costs of the fire damaged contents.

The list of those beyond economical repair is 11 pages of A4 Paper.

A mammoth task getting current prices for replacements, many are paintings and framed cigarette cards and these vary vastly in cost.

There are also 40 odd Star Wars models, a lot of difference in price especially if the box is damaged.

All good fun, I would much rather be fishing with Chilli.

Have a good day folks.

Good morning everyone :sun_with_face:
It’s lovely to wake up to sunshine instead of the rain we were expecting. I’ve already enjoyed my morning cuppa and a little potter in the garden :potted_plant: nothing too busy, just enough to feel the day starting right. Wishing you all a pleasant weekend ahead, whatever you’re up to. Take care!

Wash your mouth out AD, I only wear M&S finest slips and I wouldn’t be seen dead without my Budgie Smugglers…

Ha ha, probably no room for the budgie now lol. I have forsaken the fancy lingerie for comfort as I age but still keep some for emergencies lol. x

Hi

Ah yes, underwear, a fascinating subject.

One very close to my mind today.

The Loss Adjusters for the Insurance Company have listed in detail the clothing which is unusable due to the fire and smoke damage.

Amongst the very detailed list they have made I apparently had 32 cotton boxers and 18 pairs of socks in my bedroom wardrobes.

In the left hand bedside cabinet, i sleep on the right, they have listed a number of ladies bras and panties, listed as various makes and sizes and a Rampant Rabbit and 1 other battery operated device.

You have no secrets after you have a House Fire. :innocent: :innocent:

The one other battery device intrigues me, I would hate fireman to see my lingerie drawer but if my house was badly damaged by fire that is the least of my worries.

I’m sorry to see this, Bob. I hope the hardest part is over, also for your buttocks, so that you can focus entirely on healing and taking it one day at a time.

Thanks Dachs, shook me up a bit. It’ll make me a bit more careful in the future…

What you keep in your wardrobe is your business Swim, but I would be so embarrassed if anyone found my collection of Val Doonican albums…
