Good morning everybody another fairly sunny winter’s day so far.
I have been busy with my mower, I noticed 20 hours was up so time to change the oil. Drained it then decided to clean the grass off the base. Since they stopped using aluminium bases and went back to steel the motor lasts a lot longer than the base which rust through on the left rear (where grass is thrown)
I have been in the habit of painting the base underneath each year so I got out my power washer and took it back to paint or metal.
Then I discovered my rust proofing paint has “gorn orf” as has my cold gal paint. Searched for a substitute but only came up with some bitumen paint so splattered that on.
Final disaster - I had just enough oil for the motor but spilled some - so annoying (all my bulk oil is for diesel engines) will have to wander down to Supercheap for oil Not happy Jan.
Well, that’s my morning so far, enjoy your weekend.
Nothing major planned for today, just a trip into town for some provisions, supplies and bits and pieces. I’m running out of joss sticks, that simply won’t do!
We’ll be dropping into the pub before hitting ASDA, just in order to sit down and double check the shopping list of course, no ulterior motives
Have a super Saturday people!
Good Morning Forum Friends…
Nothing much happening today and I’m just sat here dunking biscuits into my mug of Yorkshire Tea…
Off for a run out to Bridlington in half an hour, there’s this nice out of the way garden centre that usually has something tasty warming on the hot plate…
It’s about an hour and a half’s drive from here, so there should still be some dinner left when we get there…
I fancy a drive up to ‘North Landing’ at Flamborough, I feel like a paddle in the sea…
Morning all – cloudy start to the day but the sun is now shining, although it is a bit windy, and it is getting hotter!
The beast greeted me with 3 lots of throw up this morning – exercising her dominance I think! I don’t know how much longer I will be able to take on my cat servant duties. When I got down to clean up after her a pain shot through my knee and I had problems standing up again – I have been in pain ever since. The beast also has arthritis so is a fellow sufferer. Not sure how I can break the news to my neighbours – I will look after the beast for the rest of the holidays they have booked for this year but I think I may have to tell them I won’t be able to do it next year.
Wow Swimfeeders - your neighbours sound a bit scary - discussing that you “have to go”!! Stay safe!
Not much planned for today – I am expecting a parcel delivery (yes more books!) and will probably do some laundry. If the knee pain subsides I may try a walk around the local park
Windows 11 update errors have just taken me 2 hours to find out what had happened and put back as it was.
so now put in place a new restore point and hopefully blocked any more updates
