Spent some time cleaning up a bit. Spring cleaning, I guess, since it’s Spring.
Feeling a bit down today. Looking forward to taking to my favorite peeps on the phone later.

The sun looks like its trying to shine in between the rain clouds here. No plans for the day - waiting for an Argos delivery so looks like I’ll be pottering around mostly.

a lovely sunny day and I am hoping to get out in the garden after lunch and tidy some shrubs.
The garden is looking lovely, I have finished planting up bedding plants just vegetables to plant out now from the mini greenhouse.
I am back to my old dose of medication and feel the ‘hand break’ is back on and jobs take much longer but a reduced dose caused other issues so I just have to accept the least worse option.
I have ordered some ‘Nordic walking poles’ which I hope will take some of the pressure off my spine when I go across the field I just hope Chloe doesn’t mind them to much.
Next job is the ironing before lunch.

A rare opportunity to sit in my garden, then somebody pulled up their garage door over the alley way, started grinding or polishing something (his bike maybe), then awful music started up again, so I have come indoors. The situation here is that when one set of neighbours is not home, letting off their music, then another set will step in. I had heard that music earlier when hanging washing out, then thought, well next door aren’t home…try the garden. I lasted about 10-15 minutes. Argh.

I have been out, a little shopping and now back home.
My car is rammed full with a cut up sofa which had to go to make way for the hospital bed.
I will have to wait until Monday for Wendy to come to unload it for me at the recycling.
It is a beautiful day here and I will potter in the garden later.
Afternoon all, been out back again, now will cook dinner then sit in the garden.
Warm and sunny at last (27°). Got the washing on the line by 9am.
Went for a walk early too because I thought it might get pretty hot (it didn’t). Washing was dry when I got back from my walk. Exciting eh?

It’s a good afternoon from me, sunny and warm here so I’m going to nip over to my Mum’s to spray the weeds in her lawn and prepare the ground for her runner bean poles.

@Jazzi I know this may not be ideal but have you considered wearing earphones out in the garden listening to your own choice of music/radio/talking book etc?
Cracking day here been out with Gert first thing popped in B&Q for compost and then back home had a lovely ham salad and been reading my kindle in the garden back in just for ice cream and now back out again washing on the line and wall baskets filled and put up.

I have considered this, but wearing headphones whilst wearing glasses isn’t ideal.
Am I awake yet? It’s a bit bright and dazzling out here . . . where’s me sunglasses . . .

I don’t know your situation, but in my situation, the music is so loud that it’s really the vibration that makes it noisy so putting on my own music just is competing with that vibration.
I tried noise-cancelling headphones, and that didn’t work either.
Butterscotch, it is not just the music but the constant voices of the tenants, especially if all the children are out there. They have two each, apparently. The adults are what my dad used to call ‘skate mouth’. It is just too unpleasant to be out there.
I had a few times today when I could then they came home from wherever they’d been. One day, if ai want to work out there, I might try the headphones. Earlier I watched The Grand Tour on the iPad, without headphones.
