Good Morning Saturday 14/8

Hi
Good Morning All.

Not the best of nights, the Plymouth thing has kicked off my PTSD.

Steve, the nice neighbour, is coming to sort out the side passage door from the garden, Paula is coming with my ironing when she drops Millie off at a Party.

If they are both here at the same time they can clean out the dead fish from the Aquarium. the lid is very heavy.

Have a good day all.

Morning Swimmy, yes the nights can be long, but as long as we are here in the morning to grumble, that’s the main thing…

Morning all, another decent forecast for today and tomorrow methinks. We have family over tomorrow and I want to get the paddling pool out for the grandchildren, so I hope it stays fair. Plenty to do today then, cleaning and cooking but looking forward to seeing everyone.

Have a good day folks

It is the same sort of winter’s day you expect in August, cold at night 7’ but pleasant enough if a little cool during the day at 20’.

This morning as soon as the sun was up I was in the garden where I sprayed all the damn clover, front and back.

Followed this up with some sprayer repair (the valve stuck) then some Shredded Wheat and coffee for breakfast

Afterwards watched a bit of YouTube ,there are a couple of channels I like that post Friday arvo their time which is Saturday my time - Acorn to Arabella (USA) and Foxes Afloat (UK).

By then it was nearly time for the Premier’s morning News Conference where she revealed 460 new cases of Covid together with new restrictions and fines.

Once I got fed up with that I was off on my morning walk which occupied just over an hour of my day - lovely to be walking out in the sunshine.

No sooner had I returned home than my kids called me for a four way WhatsApp video call which lasted about an hour. This technology is brilliant - Two households in Canberra, one in Sydney (at work) and me in Wollongong.

Which brings us to now, so here I am at 2.30pm on Saturday arvo talking to you lot!

Ho Hum… Life in lockdown.

Good morning everyone.

Going to be warm but cloudy here today.

Have to stay around as am expecting a delivery.

Also - have been commissioned (may have mentioned this elsewhere) to make a 50th birthday card for someone who likes Cats, Port, Prosecco, Harry Potter and Purple - so that is going to be fun!

Stay safe.

Good morning all, looks like its going to be a nice day.
Got a Bricklayer coming at 7.30am as a week ago, a woman knocked down our Brick wall, doing a 1 point turn.
Have a lovely day all.

Good morning Swimmy and OFC friends,

It’s a very cold winters day here. Not much planned due to lockdown. Just some chores around the house today.

Have a blessed day!

Morning all.

Hosting another coffee morning/meet up at my local cafe. So far I think I only have one confirmed other.

Trying to get rid of a nasty headache, that I went to bed with, and have now woken up with. Wish I knew what’s caused it.

How very unfriendly of her!

Good morning everyone, a bit dull here, but warm (though if @Bruce calls 20deg a little cool, then I seriously doubt he would agree with my description of 18deg being warm ).

After two days of being out and about with niece, daughter, granddaughter etc, I can have a lazy day indoors today. Oh wait… I have to drive daughter and granddaughter to a birthday party this afternoon a few miles away (no bus route), and then pick them up later. Oh well, maybe tomorrow then.,

Have a lovely Saturday folks

Good morning - Bright and dry at the moment. I’m glad I washed up and put everything back to normal after our curry with friends last night. It would have been awful having to face clearing that lot up first thing.

A ride to see my brother this afternoon. Should have been yesterday but I put it off.

I would wear a light jacket at 20’ but if I am going for a brisk walk (ie my daily exercise) then a T shirt would do. You have to remember humidity is generally low here so it feels colder than in high humidity (I believe humidity is always high in the UK) plus it depends what you are used to - in July and August I always wear long trousers but shorts the rest of the year.

Weather is very subjective, I wouldn’t go out if it was raining for example but my brother is always telling me if he applied that rule he would never go out (he lives in Macclesfield). Here I have had less than 5mm of rain over the last three weeks most of which fell at night.

Absolutely right @Bruce, and your brother hits the nail on the head there, haha! Living in Devon, we too would be virtually housebound if we never went out in the rain.

@Bathsheba ,I’m in the north of the County and can see Exmoor, which means its going to rain, when it can’t be seen its raining.

Any how morning all, nowt planned today, up and away to Lichfield tomorrow to see the youngest daughter.

We had a friend in Llandovery, Wales. He used to say that if you could see the Black Mountains is was going to rain, and if you couldn’t see them it was already raining… :joy:

Good Morning everyone! Its the weekend! Going to the allotment for lunch and tree planting. Other than that nothing planned. Hopefully it stays dry though…its cloudy and ominous outside so fingers crossed, Have a lovely day everybody!

Guess what? No Bricklayer, not turned up.

Good afternoon all :grinning: sunny at the moment though dark clouds looming in the distance.

Have had a lovely couple of days with our son here, lots we had to catch up on. Seems quiet now he has gone back to Wales.

Hope everyone is well?
