Good morning everybody, it’s the weekend again. Not a particularly nice day here temperature, in the mid 20s, is fine but overcast and a bit dull, there is some smoke about from hazard reduction burns in the Blue Mountains - actually not where I live but a bit further north, I can see the smoke but not smell it
Went for my walk this morning, felt the odd spot of rain but not enough to make me wet. when I got home decided to risk washing my cardigans for my up coming trips, they are hanging in the car port…
If it stays dry either this arvo or tomorrow morning will drag out the mower and get that job done. Still a surprisingly warm autumn and the grass is still growing with no sign of cold weather needed to change the doona on my bed. probably a few weeks early for the latter anyway - usually change it about Anzac Day which is nearly a fortnight away.
Not much planned for the weekend except getting ready to go away on Monday for a few days. Will check the car over.
The sun is shining and is going to be warm again .
I made it to the Hospital on time yesterday , a Picket line of striking nurses was outside .Cars driving by were hooting the car horns in support , what a racket .
What I was told in my appointment left me in shock,I wasn’t expecting them to give me what time Ive got left if leave things as they are .
An operation was talked about and the risks involved , along with risks if I don’t.
They told me when the operation will be if I go a head with it …Its in the next 2 months .
Im giving it some thought ,it’s been a weird 24hrs .my world as been upended , Life is so uncertain , when you think everything is hunky dory and suddenly you no longer in control .
Im looking forward to tomorrow , Ive a picnic planned by a Canal or the river , a recreation of my Happy times .
So I must go to the shops and buy the necessaries.
Good morning - The last day without rain so I hear. Maybe that’s just as well. There has been a heath fire near us and a few others up and down the country. There’s the usual car boot sale across the road. I expect it will be well attended on a fine day like today. Mrs mart wants to go there and trawl through the books that will no doubt be on sale.
After that, some more clearing out of unwanted stuff. That should take care of the rest of the day.
Morning all – sunny day again, although we are being threatened with rain later and for most of next week!
Sorry to hear about your health problems Eliza
Another late start for me – once again I didn’t want to get out of bed! My body keeps reminding me that I am getting older as everything seems to be a bit of an effort these days! The birds were lined up on the wall waiting for me to fill the feeder
Neighbour called in yesterday afternoon with cake (there goes my diet!). Her husband is recovering from his eye op. apparently the worst part was the injection for the anaesthetic. He had to stay out of bright sunshine for 3 days so by the time he is able to get out it will be raining!
Not much planned for today, I could do the ironing or I could take advantage of the last day of sunshine and go for a walk in the park – oh decisions decisions
Good afternoon everyone, at last a real Spring day today, sunny, warm, no cold wind to spoil it all. Better not speak too soon though!
Went to do some Easter shopping this morning, Easter eggs for my two adult kids, yes I still buy them but not the children’s ones of course.
Bought one of these, too, which I’m sure you can find in big UK supermarkets.
Good afternoon Everyone, found some lunch in a Garden Centre about 30 miles away that we don’t visit too often. I don’t know why not, the meals are delicious!
Managed to find a nice big field yesterday and put the drone through it’s paces. Quite a few people milling about in the sun so I had to be careful…
The Big Field…
Sorry about the quality, but you can’t expect BBC quality from a fifty quid drone…
Just one mishap when I lost control and crashed into the seat I was sitting on…All that space and I go and find the only seat in the park…
I couldn’t show the whole video because I don’t know how to…Duh!
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis Eliza, I hope you can get the problem fixed…
