Good Morning Bruce, or whatever time this finds you at…Seems a bit slack this morning, I hope those solar flares haven’t taken down all the satellites and given the World Wide Web a bloody nose…I’ve got some cash out of the ATM just in case…
A rest day today so another Saturday, and another Garden Centre for lunch…Daughter and hubby are expected for tea, so any little niggles with my new smart phone can be ironed out.
Didn’t get to see the Aurora, if they can’t show it at a decent time then that’s too bad.
Another very warm (got up to 27 degrees C yesterday) day today. Don’t you just get sick of the constant hot weather… Stroll on winter…Not!
Think I might have the quiche for lunch…
Morning all – another bright and sunny morning – although thunder storms are forecast for tomorrow so making the most of today!
The beast refused to eat her breakfast or go out this morning, although left no little gifts for me! Her regular servants are due home around lunchtime so my duties are over – for now!
Due to have my covid jab top up this morning, unfortunately the clinic is in a very busy place and it is always difficult to park – I was tempted to cancel and book for another less busy day but decided best to get it over and done with. After I think I will spend the afternoon in the garden (reading a book not gardening!)
Neighbours rang to say they were on their way back but stuck in a traffic jam but expect to be home around 1.30 pm
Good afternoon, it’s 12:20 here and it’s currently 26 degrees Celsius with a high of 27.
I have had a lazy day today. Had a light brunch on the patio after putting the laundry up to dry.
I suppose I should head to the shops later but I’m not feeling it so it’s a laid back day for me.
It’s an early start tomorrow as I volunteered to pray in the chapel from 8-9am. We have a 10 days of prayer chain leading up to Pentecost. I hadn’t realised that it’s Mother’s Day tomorrow when I signed up for my prayer slot but I’ll be home in time for my daughter’s arrival. She’s cooking me lunch. My son will probably be asleep most of the morning so, it’s all good.
Good morning all!
I’ve just been for a short walk with my son to pick some water mint. We’ll be boiling some potatoes, putting them through the mouli, adding a little flour to bind, some tuna, grated cheddar, freshly squeezed lemon juice and plenty of finely chopped water mint. Next stage, shape them into patties and fry as mash potatoes cakes!
Not forgetting plenty of salt and pepper of course.
I don’t blame you for blowing out the shopping Minx, I shan’t be venturing farther than the convenience shop over the road, In fact I feel a cold can of Kronenburg coming on as I type
My wonderful son is going to do the shopping for me
Actually, with this weather, a beer sounds good but I don’t drink beer so, it’s a cider for me Enjoy your beer
It’s wonderful to see everyone out and about and in some mostly fine weather (sorry, Sheila )
Hi, Minx!
We are celebrating Mother’s Day this evening with a visit to the Melting Pot, a nearby fondue restaurant. It is quite an experience - almost three hours of dipping and dining through three course of fondue (cheese, cooking with oil or broth, and chocolate). It was a sweet surprise, though I wish they knew I’d be just as happy having them over for a day just to “hang out” with all of us under the same roof and cooking a thing or two grown or found out back. Simple pleasures and all…
Oh, I forgot to mention that the bird in the photo the other day was an osprey!
I look forward to rolling my stuffed carcass back to the computer tomorrow to catch up on the latest. Have a nice evening!
