Good morning all, I am back on time today, my son and his family have just left to travel back to Canberra.
I was up fairly early as usual for my walk but I took their dog with me, always makes the walk more enjoyable (I do miss having a dog).
On my return I got them to help me chop down a branch from the Lilly Pilly that had been annoying me no end, then I threw all the towels they used into the washing machine.
It is quite a sunny day and early this morning it was perfect (high 20s) but a wind has sprung up the same as yesterday which hasn’t dropped the temperature any but will probably dry my washing with in the hour if it manages to stay on the line
A grey start to the day and rain is forecast which is a shame because theres going to be street food in the local pub car park and Ive been invited along with family .
Its a family member Birthday tomorrow and Im in on a secret surprise get together and meal tomorrow , I just hope I don’t let slip today …
Ive been awake since 2.30am when my dog woke me, she went back to sleep an hour later but I was wide awake so at the break of dawn I went to the green house to pot up some Dahlias that arrived at 6pm last night , job done I can rest till I meet up with family .
A grey and cloudy start to the day here on the south coast. Today, the wife wants to go outlet shopping on behalf of her relatives and will probably end up in the main town wandering about. We have to get ready for a trip away next week for a few days for a Big Cat photoshoot, which was part of my wife’s Christmas present for me. Later we have to start the check-in process for our Norwegian cruise, in a few weeks time - which seems to have come round really quickly.
Morning all – grey, overcast and cold this morning
Started my cat duty yesterday – she actually went out into the garden in the afternoon for a couple of hours yesterday so no little gifts for me this morning. She did go out for about 5 minutes this morning, decided it was too wet and cold so came back indoors!
My sister in law had her patio cleaned this week and she said they did an excellent job so I have arranged for them to come and look at my drive and patio next week and give me a quote.
I am also thinking of changing the countertops, sink and tap in my kitchen and have arranged for someone to call to give a quote for that too. I also think it is time I did something about arranging for the summer house I want in the garden – looks like this is going to be a very expensive couple of months for me!
Only plans for today is some grocery shopping and a little housework
