It must be that kind of day, I had to take one of my yummy opioid pain killers this morning but all is well now.
Overcast all day with a little bit of rain, 17’ overnight and only 22’ during the day, very humid of course.
Keep taking the tablets (I know I will)

I woke myself up with a fit of sneezing!!
I’m just going to take it easy today - nurse my cold & be careful with my back as I’ve got a big day on Thurs & need to be reasonably well for then.
I’ll be travelling up to Saltburn on Sea to meet up with my half sister. I haven’t seen her since before covid - it will also be nice to get some sea air. A local coach firm are doing a trip there so I’ve booked myself on it. Tony didn’t want to come & my daughters are at work so I’ll be going on my own - I’ve never been on a coach trip on my own before but I don’t mind my own company on board the coach.
I didn’t book it of course until I’d made sure Tony was being cared for. Ady will take him out for the day…

A sunny start again here but again very cold. The forecast is for a bright morning with sunny spells and light winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C. Roll on spring!

Late on parade.
Been out with a Carer for a walk.
It was great.
Good afternoon everyone off to the vets shortly with Chloe.
I had a horrible thought yesterday about the pad which won’t heal , is the lump which was removed with the toe growing back in a pad this time like somthing out of ’ Alien’ .
No sooner had I made the appointment (only available because someone else cancelled) than my heart kicked off . Reluctant to cancel I will just have to do my best at the vets on shaking leg and breathless.
Having an easy afternoon when I get back.

Ooh Meg, I do hope Chloe’s alright, but please be ultra careful driving if you don’t feel well.

The vet was reassuring and didn’t think it was the lump re growing but went with my initial thought that the lack of a toe and claw had put added pressure on the pad and caused an abrasion and constantly putting pressure on the sore with walking delayed its healing.
He dressed it and gave her antibiotics.
We go back in a week .

Poor Chloe, guess you’ll just have to wait and see how she is after the meds.
