Good morning happy forummers, it’s back to work for some of us - not me I am ecstatic to report
Not sure what the weather will bring, the forecast is for a slight chance of showers, had a severe thunderstorm yesterday evening, lots of thunder with bursts of rain and wind but I didn’t see any lightning.
Just returned from my coffee and cake morning which was, as usual, a good morning out.
On the way home called into Woollies for milk and other odds and ends, treated myself to some beef jerky on special at half price.
The radio mentioned that it was the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on London 20 years ago. Are they having a memorial day or something similar? Weren’t something like 50 people killed?
That’s just about my morning done and dusted, have a good one.
Morning Bruce! Out bright and early for a swim, work at 10, going for an Italian with friends this evening - not bad for what is universally the worst day of the week!
Raining today until around 11.00 a.m. according to the forecast. The builders have turned up anyway. I hope they can get a bit more done later. Mrs mart has a doctor’s appointment. We’d walk there but for the weather. We haven’t got the car at the moment. It’s on loan for our daughter to use while here. This means she’ll have to get out of bed and get the car back to us. How sad.
Good Morning Folks…
Just setting off for Llandudno, sunny and cloudy here with a slight chance of rain, but Wales has a good forecast for the week ahead. I hope so…
I hope the Welsh are prepared for a couple of Yorkshire drifters…
Good morning all, a rainy day here too! Already had a storm this morning but clouds are not going away, more storms are forecast shortly. I wouldn’t mind so much but I’m worried about the electricians replacing my TV aeriel on the roof at the moment! Just hope it stays dry until they finish. I can see drops already though…
My brother rang yesterday – he has had to have skin cancer cut off his face! Difficult to understand as he is very careful and applies high factor sun cream before leaving the house. One of the disadvantages of living in Australia when you have very fair skin I suppose. Apart from that he was able to report he is making progress with Mum’s estate, he is now dealing with the several UK insurance companies she had policies with.
Expecting a visit from brother in law and his wife early afternoon. Not seen them for a few weeks so will enjoy the catch up
Had a meeting in town this morning. I met up with Chilli jnr afterwards and bought his train ticket for a week’s hol next week to Scotland
Makes having a Railcard so worthwhile!
