Good morning everyone, well it’s a lovely day, set to be around 24deg, a last stab at summer before the autumn sets in.
Off to my daughter’s in a mo to take care of my granddaughter, because my daughter starts a new job today and granddaughter isn’t back to school until Wednesday, We’re going to take her to ‘China Blue’ in Totnes, where we’ve booked a 2 hour slot for her to paint ceramics of her choice. Then we’ll go back and collect her work when it’s been glazed and fired in the kiln.
Good morning - All is calm now that the last of the family gatherers have left. I actually don’t like the quiet much but I expect I’ll soon get used to it again. Time to hang the sheets on the line and then get ready for a bike ride to the allotment.
Just replenished the bird and squirrel feeders on this very dreich day avoiding dog poo because my numpty neighbour has his face buried in his phone rather than keeping an eye on his dog.
Oh it is a communal garden or back green as they call them in Scotland.
Back from doing the Tesco shopping and now having a brew before planning the day, which at some point must include a trip to the tip with the weekend’s garden prunings, which include two buddleas, roots and all…
Going into town shortly, need to go to the bank and do a bit of shopping after. We are going by bus (with masks) as they have made the centre of the town traffic free now.
Good morning everyone there was a real ‘autumnal mist’ over the fields this morning eery at dawn with a dog fox barking. It is going to be hot later .
The squirrels are busy digging up the front lawn burying acorns a sure sign of autumn.
I have my eye on some cleaning today starting with the windows before it gets too hot.
Same here with the darn squirrels Meg, they are a ruddy nuisance. They keep digging all my tubs out and I’ve had to put wire over the bigger pots now.
I also had 3 daddy Long Legs fly in as I opened the back door late last night. That’s another sure sign of autumn to me.
An excellent day. I spent this morning singing my tuneless head off to various Pink Floyd and Queen tracks while I mowed the lawns. Thoroughly enjoyed myself I did.
Evenin’ all. A pleasant day. A morning stroll with the dogs and a later afternoon one. My dear wife is still in some pain so I do the walks and then to the convenience store. There hasn’t been rain for a few days so I’m watering everything - in the garden, not in the house. Tomorrow is expected to be similar.
