Good morning Monday 6th July 2026

Good morning to all the fine people on here…

Another sunny day here by the seaside. As temperatures are starting to rise again over the next few days (according to forecasts) at least we have a nice cool breeze to keep the air fresh, unlike last time, which will make it all the more tolerable.

Just come back from my daily walk, which I haven’t done for several days, and found that the waterway is clogged with algae which has killed a lot of the fish, due to oxygen deprivation. The resident swans and Canada geese have disappeared, leaving only ducks and coots. The whole area has overgrown and needs serious landscaping and tidying, all of which is owned by English Heritage, who seem to be doing nothing to upkeep the area.

So today’s fun and games include dropping the wife off to the gym, picking up some parcels, looking for a waste clearance company to clear some rubbish and having another moan as to what’s happening with my photo album I ordered. If there’s any time left over, coffee.

Have a great day all…

:+1: :sunny:

Morning all – yes another sunny day!

Sorry Graham, but coffee should never be an after-thought - in my world coffee comes first! Good luck sorting the problem with the photo album!

Local radio is full-on football this morning. I’m not a football fan but am happy for all the England football fans out there. Some pubs were allowed to stay open until 5.00 am this morning so I am thinking there will be quite a few people calling in “sick” today!

My original plan was to go into town today but received a call from a friend suggesting we meet in town tomorrow, so as I don’t relish the journey into town twice in 2 days will not be going today!

Take care – have a lovely day

Morning all

Got woken up at 4.15AM by celebrating footie fans honking their car horns in the village, which set the dogs off barking.
At least the next match is during the daylight hours :slightly_smiling_face:

Morning all - sorry just into afternoon, but i have an excuse.
Stayed up to watch the match - it was delayed an hour so didn’t begin until 2am, and by the time i went to bed, it was already daylight which felt a bit weird.

Anyway still feeling slow, and a bit tired, so might catch up with a snooze later on, after some tennis.

Take care everyone and have a good day.

That’s the way to be … take it easy and build up ready for the next match. Saturday isn’t it? But at a sociable hour.

Just had a guy call to have a look at the gas meter, so I fetched “er indoors”
