Good morning all, tipping down with rain here and has been for a good few hours but hey, it isn’t snow so no complaints here…
No proper plans yet for the day and I guess it will depend on the weather to a great extent, although we are helping eldest daughter find a new house so a few hours on the internet could be on the cards methinks…
I’m having a new oak porch fitted this week (she said hopefully) not sure if its today but if its not I’m going shopping to look for a 40th birthday present for my daughter in law…thinking of a bracelet or a necklace…I will enjoy picking that
Was completely burnt out yesterday. I’ve been working on a project. I didn’t realize how much I’ve been doing until I couldn’t do anything more yesterday. I looked at my log and realized why. I had been at it for days on end without a break. Finally took a break yesterday and feel so much better.
Finished a bit more of the project, so I’m back to relaxing.
Still watching Master Chef. I found a new show called Tournament of Champions that I’m loving. I’m watching it slowly to savor it. lol
Yesterday I started with a minor cold - not bad enough to take to my bed, but enough to feel cold & miserable
Same with the weather - cold, grey, and raining
I have just about run out of fresh food, and had planned on going shopping yesterday, Sunday, or today, but I don’t think that will happen now; instead I’ll manage with what I have
In early December I stocked up the freezer & cupboards with food, cans & packets for winter or if I was ill
Well, although I’m by no means at death’s door I may as well use what I’ve bought for just this eventuality, and I’m sure I’ll survive OK
I have loads of warm clothing, and I can always get back under the duvet for a couple of hours
Good morning everyone
Today it is 55 years since Martin Luther King was assassinated.
While we have come a long way in human rights the world is still divided in so many ways .
The insurance assessor will be phoning me later to tell me what time he’s coming tomorrow to look at my C/H disaster.
Of course when I tell him we’ve got covid it will be postponed.
Expecting daughter Sue with some shopping later. I expect she’ll just leave it on the doorstep.
We have had no rain for about 3 weeks but today it is! Typical …. Last month we met up with my bereaved BIL and it absolutely poured all day. We are meeting him again tomorrow so fingers crossed it stays dry this time.
Good afternoon - had to dash out early this morning for a work thing, so I’m just catching up now. Its cold and cloudy today, and sadly lacking in coffee, so I’m going to replenish supplies
