Another day. Another call to the police. Still 2 more days to go. I’m wondering if my neighbors will also take off work for the rest of the week since it’s only 3 days.
Still exhausted. This is all not conducive to good sleep.
Butter, your neighbours are much worse than mine. They apparently went to a house up the road for a long party on Saturday (I wondered why I couldn’t hear them all day and evening) but yesterday I could hear kids shouting right up till gone 9pm, which I thought was wrong for a school night. I suppose they were out in the garden and alley. I stay front of my house, away from them. If I slept in a back bedroom then would be disturbed.
Most probably more gardening for me today, Carry on with that weeding. I have the insides of two pallet collars to clear out, with a few donated plants to put in. I also want to sow carrot seeds and could use up the other bag of compost I got from the council. Maybe after my little trip next week, and another pension going into my account, I will order more pallet collars. I have two spare but for now they are holding my tarpaulin down over the compost heap (for the nettles springing up).
Good morning all ,
How interesting @Ripple at least you had quality time with him , did you come away with any Souvenirs ?
Wishing everyone a peaceful day .
Back from a short stint on the allotment. Clouds were looking dark and ominous, but enjoying a cuppa now.
Put my gifted brassica plants in, pulled netting over them as a temp measure. Worked a bit with the hoe, and cleared a spare raised bed (in pallet collar), added some compost and threw in some carrot seeds. Fingers crossed they will germinate ok. My new beetroot seeds have, thankfully.
Will have a shower after my cuppa then look for something to do for the main meal. And fold up the washing from the airers.
I still believe I would have enjoyed a horse and coach drive through the grounds of Belvoir Castle.
But you’re right it was interesting and gritty.
The U.K. only steam driven brickworks
It’s close for business back in the 70s .
Left with all it contents in place, there it stayed for almost 40 yrs unloved , until being rescued from demolition .
It’s listed and on the national heritage list, now run as a museum by volunteers .
There wasn’t a single brick souvenir . a BBC brick
Bursledon Brick Company would of been nice.
Nice bit of back ground info , sometimes you can sponser a brick , it raises funds to keep thing going … I like that it got saved, Im into History and wouldnt mind visiting sometime .
Good evening all. We had a good stroll this morning around the two schools and then over to the convenience shop. We managed it just before we got the rain. Then we went to the main hospital to visit my sister. She is getting better but still not good. Then it rained most of the rest of the day.
