Good morning on this showery but warm(ish) Monday.
Usual Monday morning routine - coffee and cake with friends. Afterwards drove to the seniors’ centre to pick up two of our old computers to take to the dump they are very old as can be gauged from the fact that they are running Vista!
The weather is supposed to improve during the day, I have to change my doona for the summer one, the feathery winter one is far too hot.
Yesterday I completely forgot about the good morning thread but good old OGF picked up the slack.
Tomorrow is October so we are another month older and next Monday is a public holiday in NSW, I think it is Labour Day.
Anyway you all have a lovely day no matter where you are. Take care.
Morning all – more rain overnight and damp this morning
Glad to see you back Bruce. Apologies OGF for not contributing yesterday
Beast is definitely feeling lonely (or just wants a warm lap!) – ate very little breakfast before demanding lots of cuddles, then decided it was too wet to go out and curled up on her favourite chair! Her regular servants phoned this morning – apparently it is very hot where they are! Even if Millie isn’t planning something evil for their return, I just might!!
No central heating last night – now I have a slight inkling about how many pensioners will be suffering this winter! I have a gas fire in the sitting room but there was no heating in the bedroom and it isn’t even winter yet! Hoping for a call from the heating engineer today.
Hold on a minute Bruce…I’m still running Vista on my desktop in the workshop
Although I must admit, I mainly use it for viewing drawings and photos. It’s too slow to be connected to the internet, but it comes in handy for storing stuff…
I don’t mind filling in for you Bruce, we’re just like a family on here. In fact, I talk to you people more than I do to the family. The half that aren’t dead, just sit looking at their phone screens when they come to visit…
Chucking it down with rain but I couldn’t miss my early morning 3.5 miles, stuff still drying on the rads as we speak…
No problem Sheila, I was a bit late putting up the thread…Apologies not necessary…
I think Millie is just missing some cuddles, we all need some cuddles occasionally…
Off back out in the rain now to take mine and Mrs Fox’s prescriptions in to the surgery before they close. I’ll be in the motor this time…
Good afternoon - The supermarket shopping is done.
Just had a phone call from the people who deliver medical requirements to the door to make sure all is OK. Never used a service like this before but it was arranged by the hospital so I’ll let it stand. The box gets bigger and bigger. Gone are the days when I could pick up what’s needed in my saddlebag from the doctor’s own pharmacy.
Glad I sorted out the garden yesterday because it has rained and it looks like there is more to come. Windy at times too.
