Good morning all, another cool morning, according to BOM it’s only going to get into the low/mid 20s today.
No walk this morning because it was coffee and cake morning. A great morning as always, I had a couple of jobs to to do, one was sorting out one of those big face electronic clock for us old folks. It was OK but my friend could not get the year to stay fixed but we got that sorted eventually.
It must have a built in lithium battery because it remembered everything previously set. Lithium batteries are ridiculously cheap these days as are the BMS chips that go with them.
Because of the high fuel price a neighbouring council (Kiama) has told its staff to work from home if they can. I can envisage rationing in the next month or so, Victoria has made all public transport free, Queensland reduced all fares to 50c (25p). NSW decided it prefers the money - doesn’t really affect me, as a pensioner my daily fare is capped at $2.50 anyway.
It is an odd world we live in at the moment. Have a magnificent Monday.
Good morning all. Freezing rain and high wind was the recipe for last night, but thankfully has now blown through. The day has started with clear skies and the threat of a cold but crisp morning. The coffee is hot and plentiful, so roll on Monday
Sunshine and showers this morning ,nothing planned for today .
I have a seniors Bus pass as all seniors in this country @Bruce , its very useful, and although I don’t use it a lot , I would miss it , because of the price of fares now .
Had quite the busy day yesterday, was up early and off to a photo studio for a few hours. It’s going to take quite some time to go through them all, but I’m quite pleased with what I’ve seen of them, soon to be part of my portfolio when they’re done. After that, coffee and breakfast and then off to meet my sister-in-law and catch up with all the happenings with my nephew, who seems to be an endless source of trouble.
Today, it’s go on my daily walk and check up on the wildlife. Then its take the wife to the gym, a few house chores and make a start of going through my pics, which could take me a week or so. Not really too much going on beyond that.
I prefer tea and cake but Mondays are special, a group of us get together for Coffee and Cake, a good chat where we sort out Australia’s and the world’s problems, fix up our tech problems and generally have a very pleasant time.
Today we discussed the MyAgedCare “algorithm” as well as one of our number’s new but very unsatisfactory ramp.
I’m home now , thought I’d treat myself to flowers Hyacinth! Agghhh over night they fragranced the home with the smell of cheap lavatory cleaner disgusting. Binned .
Oh well , Tulips next can’t go wrong with Tulips.
Afternoon all – sunny day but again with a cold wind
I have had a busy morning – housework and made a casserole for dinner tonight. I also had to pick up litter which has ended up on my driveway! Fast food and coffee containers – I seem to be doing this every morning now – why do people feel they can just drop things in the street when they finish with them!
Did have a lovely surprise, my gardener showed up with a bunch of flowers for me! His wife is a good friend of mine and I cancelled a meeting with her a few days ago because I was feeling depressed and she sent along the flowers to cheer me up! Such a lovely lady and good friend.
Still waiting to hear about a new date for my fire to be installed – if I don’t hear from them today I may have to look elsewhere.
