Good Morning Monday, 2nd February 2026

Good morning dear gentle reader (yes, I am watching the new series of Bridgerton). It was quite chilly this morning after the heatwave of the last week or so, temperatures are only getting into the low 20s.

Of course this morning is Monday so coffee and cake. One of our number had bought a new bluetooth mouse to use with his laptop. He had not been able to connect it so that took a few moments before the serious chat began.

I have to empty my car this arvo because tomorrow I take it into the smash repairers, a small dent has to be knocked out and the bullbar re-powder coated. To be honest if it had been my fault the ding wouldn’t have bothered me but as the other party’s insurance is paying I am getting it all done. (they changed lanes and hit my bullbar - smashed their rear quarter panel and light)

Let’s face it, it’s an eleven year old car.

Enjoy the new week.

Take care…

Good Morning Bruce and all who follow… :039:
A good friend and neighbours eighty something birthday today so we are taking him and his missus for a slap up meal at a garden centre, then probably off to do some shopping at the nearby Mall…did I mention tea and scones while we are there…
Not a good forecast for the rest of February, there’s a lot of rain in it…So walking will take on a low burn around the tarmac paths and canal towpath. I miss getting out into the countryside but they are starting to build more houses at the top of the lane and the heavy equipment has made the lane impossible to walk down…Two foot deep mud baths.

Morning all…

Another wet day here by the south coast, local floods are everywhere here.

Just took the wife to the dentist for a checkup and some issue with a tooth which is causing headaches, but couldn’t see what the problem is and suggested it may be a nerve in the sinus area, but she’ll need further tests to see what’s going on. Later today, I’m dropping her off at the gym and later may go for something to eat somewhere. No idea what’s happening after that.

Have a great day all…

At least it wasn’t a Kangaroo that caused your car damage, because they don’t have any insurance to claim upon

That’s why I have a heavy steel bull bar.

Stops errant kangaroos and pedestrians scratching the paint or denting the bodywork as they are swept aside.
