Good morning everyone in forumland. Much more like summer today, the sun is shining and temperatures are in the mid 20s.
Went for my walk this morning before having breakfast and a shower. Then drove to Bunnings for some hardware for my awning repair. Found these flat head stainless bolts which will do the job, they are a bit long but a much lower profile than rounded head bolts.
M6 is definitely overkill.
In the end, as I thought far too long, but one of these days will get the angle grinder out and trim them off. I should be able to pick the car up by the awning ![]()
But it looks good on the inside and doesn’t interfere with the struts that lie in the channel.
Feeling quite pleased with the repair but if I was doing it again would only put in three bolts, one at each end and one in the middle - I just got carried away.
That’s my Monday job and morning done and dusted. Enjoy your day
Take care…
