Good morning everyone in forumland. Much more like summer today, the sun is shining and temperatures are in the mid 20s.
Went for my walk this morning before having breakfast and a shower. Then drove to Bunnings for some hardware for my awning repair. Found these flat head stainless bolts which will do the job, they are a bit long but a much lower profile than rounded head bolts.
In the end, as I thought far too long, but one of these days will get the angle grinder out and trim them off. I should be able to pick the car up by the awning
But it looks good on the inside and doesn’t interfere with the struts that lie in the channel.
Feeling quite pleased with the repair but if I was doing it again would only put in three bolts, one at each end and one in the middle - I just got carried away.
That’s my Monday job and morning done and dusted. Enjoy your day
Grey and cold here in the south of Hampshire, not that I’ve been out in it, under the grip of flu which shows no sign of abating. So the pair of us are sitting at home sneezing and snotting the Christmas holidays away.
A quiet day so far, just had an Amazon delivery of whey protein in readiness for the return to the gym on the 2nd.
Working this afternoon into the evening so I’m just about to polish up my dainty footwear…
Ay Up from South Yorkshire…
Been a bit hectic at the Fox’s with family and other assorted random people calling in at all times of the day and evening…Will have to stop handing out free drinks and mince pies…
Lunch on Saturday at a local garden centre as usual, and all the Christmas stuff on at half price. It had already been picked over though and only the rubbish or broken stuff left.
Benign weather for my Sunday and this mornings walk, I don’t think we will have any more weather this year. Just grey skies, no wind or rain, and a constant 6 degrees C…
Great for walking/jogging in me shorts though.
Must try my suite on before we go to Scarborough on Wednesday for the New Year Festivities. Trousers are particularly tight this year, I have no idea why…
Mrs Fox has gone shopping, looking for a present for Son in Law, he’s got a birthday on 5th Jan…At 54 him and my daughter seem to be catching me up…
I feel as fit as a fiddle just lately…
