Good Morning Monday, 28th April 2025

Good morning citizens of the world. I hope all is well with you.

Frankly I don’t have a lot to tell you. I set off from Wollongong at about 9am and spent the next four hours driving to Gulgong. Gulgong used to be the town on the $10 note but since the move to plastic it was removed. The town that used to be on the ten dollar note doesn’t have the right zing to it.

The drive through the Blue Mountains was hell as usual, busy winding roads so it was lovely to turn off the Great Western Highway at Lithgow and enjoy relaxed country driving.

I hope you have had more exciting adventures.

Take care

Good morning, Bruce and all.
Thanks for sharing your journey. It sounds like quite the adventure already, four hours on the road and a brush with history at Gulgong!
Driving through the Blue Mountains sounds intense (those winding roads have no chill, seriously). I’m glad you got to enjoy some peaceful country driving after Lithgow.
Looking forward to hearing more about your travels. Stay safe and soak it all in!

Morning all – lovely sunny start to the day with temperatures forecast to reach 20c!

Safe journey Bruce

The gardener is due today, bringing new plants for the containers – I have no idea what he will bring as I have absolutely no gardening knowledge and have said I will leave it to his discretion!

Today I plan to get the ironing done and then will settle down with a new book I started yesterday

Take care – have a great day

Good Morning from Foxy’s World… :sunny:
Some lovely weather forecast for this week with temperatures already at 18 degrees C when I returned from my early morning walk at 8:00am.
Just a thin fleece, shorts and tee shirt for this mornings outing and after a few jogging stretches I soon warmed up and felt over dressed. Careful not to go out in running kit though or Mrs Fox might suspect something…
Still had time to capture these Bluebells on the woodland path…

Hi Besoeker.and all !
It sounds like you had a lovely lunch, and even better with family around! Sorry to hear about your fall, though.
Funny how life circles back, right? From cane of the past to gentle reminder from your sister. Hope you’re feeling stronger every day. Sending you good vibes and a virtual seatbelt, just in case!

Very lovely photo! I would love to jump into your picture just to feel a bit cooler. It’s so hot here, like being roasted alive!

Sure, we might age on the outside, but our hearts stay forever young, right?

Yes, you are right Pimmy. We walk every day, rain or shine so I am fit enough for nearly eighty…

Good morning on a warm and sunny day. We have been to the supermarket and done the weekly shop. Uncovered the pile of unwanted items and dustbin bags ready for the man to come and take it all away in one go…

Today it’s time for the azalea flowers to start opening…

Thanks Pimmy, I love the heat but it’s probably because we don’t get a lot of it here, and my blood is getting thinner. It was different in the past when I would walk out in the wild places in the middle of winter…
Dinner time on the moors…
