Had a rather foggy walk this morning - not very far as I do not like fog. Made sure I was wearing a HiVis jacket - but there was no traffic at all. Had to go out to post all my ‘Thank You’ letters - have received some really lovely gifts this year!
Going to have a quiet day watching some DVDs.

We’re in week two of a major deep freeze.
Last night went down to -24 C. High today was -19 C.
Meant to be colder tonight. I believe it.
And we have wind on top of that.
Not budging too far from the wood-stove!
Even the dogs don’t wanna be out there. Thank goodness!
If possible, send a degree or two our way. P-p-p-p-lease.

I’m up quite early because of insomnia - been awake since 4.30!
Later today Tony & I are off to Thorsby Hall Hotel for four days. I haven’t done the packing yet but the stuff is all out ready to put in the case. We don’t need to leave home till 11.30, so plenty of time.
I’ve got a bit of a throbbing temple this morning. Last night I slipped on a mat on a veneer floor & went crashing into a cupboard. I am very clumsy lately & don’t know how to stop myself!!
Luckily nothing sprained - just a bit of a bump on my forehead.
Think I’ll have a lie down when I get to Thorsby.
I won’t be able to access the forum while I’m away as I only have my mobile phone - it’s not very good for groups & forums.
I’ve decided if I don’t like it at Thorsby I’ll come home tomorrow so see you when I see you.

Good morning all, crikey that’s cold @lovemyboys , no complaints here as it’s just thick fog and plus five, so not bad at all for late December… 
Plans for today are very few with just a dog walk and cold cuts for lunch, maybe a jigsaw or a film this afternoon. I have to ring my daughter shortly as we were supposed to be visiting her for a Christmas lunch tomorrow but I feel I am going down with a bad cold so will have to cancel it which will cause quite an upset! I’ve no idea where I caught it from though, as we haven’t seen a living soul for a week or so…

Miserable, it has actually drizzled today, something not very common here, I got some of my grandkids undies watched and dried just in time before it clouded over and started to spot with rain. Cold as well I think it got up to about 20’.
Overcast tomorrow too.

Tiz hissing down here and barely light, but there is some good to the weather as it’s warm for the time of year allowing the heating system to reduce the flow temperature and therefore reduce my gas bill.

For those who knew me a few years back, you might remember me having a drunk/drugs driver smashing into my front garden wall? Last time they wrote my car off! Twice it’s happened over the years, probably because I live on a bend.
Well it has just happened for a third time last night! Thank God my car was safe this time but I’ve had to call the police because the lamppost is leaning over dangerously and I don’t want that coming down on my roof!
I am so, so fed up with so many problems this year.

Still suffering with Covid here…what a cruel end to such a cruel year. Onwards and upwards though I keep telling myself at least I will have a few extra antibodies when I feel well again.

@Mups so sorry to hear that this has happened again, I hope they sort the lamppost asap so that you can stop worrying about it. Try not to feel too down… get out for a bit, phone someone you can have a good moan to and enjoy the company of your wonderful, doggy companions x

@summer what a horrible thing to be ill with covid right now. I was laid low with it this time last year which made me feel like Christmas never happened. I hope you aren’t feeling too bad and will bounce back quickly… especially being fully vaccinated as you are. (((hugs))) to you too lovely x
@carol I hope you and Tony enjoy your break. A change is as good as a rest they say so I’m sure you’ll relax and rest once you arrive.
I’m off for a long walk in the foggy drizzle and then a long soak in a Templespa inspired bath before getting ready for a party/food at eldest son’s house at 6.

Miserable, dark and dreary weather but it doesn’t really matter for me as I’m having a rare me day. I’ve phoned dad and told him I’m having a jimjam day but here if he needs me .
