Had a bad sleep last night, the westerly wind buffeting the house kept waking me up all night.
Have just returned from my regular Monday morning coffee and cake, on the way home I also called into my PO Box. The 1TB SSD I ordered was there so am busily cloning the drive as I type (on a different machine). Thank you @mart.
Yesterday arvo I finished fitting the awning to my car - as you can see it is a cheap one, normally I prefer to use my gazebo but when I can’t use that this will do.
I haven’t actually taken it out of the garage yet, the garage door is visible at the top of the picture whether the awning fits underneath it going in or out has yet to be tested It will be a close run thing.
Later this arvo I am going to Bunnings so the big test will come then
Have a wonderful Monday all of you, enjoy your day.
Good morning - Sunny with some cloud. The temperature at 9.15 a.m. is 17ºC. Good job with the laptop Bruce and I hope you still have an undamaged garage door and awning by the end of the day.
Another quiet and uneventful day here but that’s no bad thing sometimes. I expect I’ll find some activity. I mean, it’s tea and toast time for a start.
It’s a pleasant day here, warm with a breeze, just as I like it. The dog walking was good this morning with very few people about - well it is a Bank Holiday so maybe they have all gone to the coast. I’ve also been to the Farm Shop, which was completely empty except for me, the little cafe at the side of it was pretty full though by the look of it from the outside though.
I’ve already done some snipping in the garden, more to do later when I’ve had my coffee.
I hope you can get the awning through the garage door @Bruce! Enjoy your quiet day @mart.
Good morning from the land where humans are forever battling nature. (Construction noise was filling the street by 7 a.m.)
@Bruce Your awning mounting looks sleek with plenty of room to mount what ever else you might need! It seems like you have two choices; you can either creep out slowly and then decide whether or not you can make it out, or ram it at top speed, after which you will definitely have clearance - ugly as it might be. Not sure whether using your awning as a battering ram will lead to the best outcome though.
@MargaretF, it sounds like you had a pleasant visit toyour farm store. Our next big holiday is next weekend for Labor Day, so I am am battening down the hatches!
Good job, @mart for the laptop input. It looks like Bruce will be happy camper even when he isn’t camping.
Nice run this morning; the humidity has finally broken just a bit. As promised, here is a photo of a mother dolphin with her baby. There were so many boats on the water that most had safely withdrawn to safer harbors:
