Good Morning Monday, 24th February 2025

Good morning on this warm Monday, it is starting to cloud over here, might become a thunderstorm.

Back home and back to my usual coffee and cake Monday, it is always a treat to catch up with them, so sad that our numbers have thinned a bit over the years but still fun.

Have been writing emails to the local councillors to try to get some help for the seniors club, who knows what will come of that?

This arvo I intend to remove the rest of the gear from the back of my car, Unfortunately the car has to be moved forward to get access to the ute tray but will definitely get it done today. The only thing I leave in the back is the fridge, basically because it is all I can do to move it. The gazebo has wheels, the table is plastic, the boxes are liftable - plus I have a trolley to cart it all up to the house.

Still only a maybe as to whether the doonas will get back into the camper today (my excuse is that they are airing).

Nothing very exciting for me today :slightly_frowning_face:

Have a lovely start to the week.

Take care…

Good morning from damp and dreary Florida!

It’s been raining for about 18 hours, so it’s not the best day to get out an about but I’m dropping off an old cherry chest on chest to be refinished, the victim of my son’s teenage years, and then visiting the building lot to make sure all is well before we close on Wednesday. Cinderella’s 48 hour “ball” was fun, but it’s otherwise back to the hearth and ashes. @Eliza has it figured out with two very enjoyable outings to look forward to this week and @macywack has mornings figured out to perfection! I noticed both he and Bruce mention coffee and cake. Unless it’s a pastry or a coffee cake, cake for breakfast is a rarity for most of us.

@Bruce the best thing about getting things back in order is that you can start imagining the next adventure. I am sure it helps that the temperatures are dropping off again.

@OldGreyFox hasn’t checked in yet, but it’s good to hear you are back to your regular routine, Bob.

It’s tea time and then a quick shower before a flooring contractor comes buy to propose refinishing the floors. Note to the entire universe: wood floors and dogs are a match made in…well…not heaven.

Have a very nice start to the week!

Funny thing is that the temps for the rest of the week are in the mid 30s. Summer ends on Friday, it obviously didn’t get the memo.

It’s a standard menu item in most cafes for a special price, like a lunchtime steak sandwich and chips

Um, it’s a worry
