Good morning all, it is one of those funny showery days sunny and clear sky one minute then you are in the middle of a shower the next. Temperature in the mid 20s which is pleasant enough.
No walk for me this morning, I was up at 6 am and having a shower by half past. I had to drive to Corrimal (one of Wollongong’s northern suburbs) to my eye specialist and use up some of my precious diesel.
Am going to get the cataract fixed in my other eye mid April, this new lens will be compromise between long sighted and being able to read without glasses.
With these showers I am not sure what I will be doing for the rest of the day but I hope you enjoy your Monday.
Good morning all
A grey start to the day , but a mild day at 13c and staying dry .
Ive got a quite week till Friday when I shall be going to an Orchestral Concert titled
Vive La France , A change from the Jason Donavan Concert, it should be more relaxed .
A cloudy and cool day here on the south coast. May brighten later.
Yesterday I managed to get to a bird sanctuary and come away with a few hundred pics, all of which I’ll be going through in the coming days. The wife is off to the gym later and after that, it’s an appointment with the bank and building society to sort out our finances for the coming fiscal year. Somewhere in between that, there will be the obligatory coffee and possibly muffins.
Just come back from my walk to look again upon the reckless devastation caused by English Heritage’s tree felling, and noticed that the swans have returned and have managed to make a nest for themselves in the middle of it all, which is now fully exposed and completely unprotected. Hopefully people will leave them alone and allow them to lay and hatch cygnets.
The station is quite a pleasant experience which makes a refreshing change. The waiting room was open with framed pictures on the wall and interesting photos of local history.
There’s even a selection of books to browse through with an honesty box if you fancy something to take home…
