Good Morning Monday 21st

No Good Morning thread started yet?

Good morning all.
Same old thing today again, more wind and rain all night.

Got an appointment this morning because I keep getting a rotten earache, really hurts today.
My hearing is muffled again too. Keeps on happening and I am getting nowhere in sorting it out.

Other than that, I have nothing planned, because its too bloomin’ cold and miserable to go out.

Morning Mups and all who follow,
It’s still blowing a hoolie out there, but at least it’s bright and sunny.
Sorry to hear about your earache Mups - hope the doc can do something for you. You’re lucky to get an actual appointment, so that’s a good start!
No plans today, just going to potter.
Have a good day everyone

Good morning everybody.

Today Tony & I are going to the market town of Chesterfield. It’s quite well known for it’s crooked spire.
I need to return a telephone amplifier to a charity who kindly lent me two. I shall be paying for one & returning the other.

Then we need to go to Currys to try & get a new shaver head for Tony’s Braun shaver. Boots haven’t got one in their shop or online & nowhere else seems to have one either…

I think we’ll stay in town for lunch and as it’s market day have a browse round the market.
Mind you - it’s very windy outside. Perhaps the market traders will stay at home today…

Sorry about your ear ache Mups. I hope it gets sorted.

I tried to start a Good Morning thread 2 hours ago but I was having a problem getting a ‘tag’ - It kept telling me I must chose at least one tag but it wouldn’t let me chose one!!

In the end I gave up in disgust - what are these tags for anyway?

Have a good day all…

Yep, know the feeling Carol.
Took me about 20 flippin’ minutes too! Grrrr . . . .

Perhaps we ought to start doing tomorrow’s in advance and it might be done by morning then. :grinning:

Good Morning everyone.

Extremely wet and windy here today - and cold!

I am definitely not firing on all cylinders this morning having, so far, managed to let two boiled eggs explode all over the kitchen, cremated three slices of toast, and - horror of horrors - trampled on a cat!

Think tidying the garage might be the safest option for me today - daren’t trust myself with needles, scissors, cutting machines, or glue!

Stay safe.

Went for my usual seniors get together this morning after getting some washing on the line early.

On the way home called into Coles for a bit of shopping, those pork pies don’t get themselves.

Set off for my walk late morning and enjoyed a southerly change that went through at the same time.

It’s about 10pm and it has just started raining.

Have a good one

I blew into work this morning, had a fight with the car door first trying to open it, I won Mr Windy though.

The mailman brought NOTHING this morning, so it’s been a morning of playing on my works computer, tomorrow I’m guessing we’ll be hammered with work, our usual mailman is off sick.

I’m going to B & Q this afternoon. Me and John have decided we are going to have a new kitchen fitted, they are reasonable with their prices I believe so I’m gonna go book someone to price up for us and choose a kitchen, how exciting.

Have a good day all.

Too much of a rush for me, waiting to collect sis from the surgery. Her bp was too high so they didnt do her iron injection. Back to mine to collect Holly, she played up so I said ‘oh I cant be doing with this with you’. Well. Did sister blow her top! She was incredibly cruel, brought our older sister into it, blamed me for her bp being high, and she said a lot of nasty things about me.

She wanted to leave, I said dont be stupid, get in the car. Anyway, dropped off the dog and on to the garage. More later. Dog ready.

Hi

Yes, I rarely start threads nowadays, too much hassle to start a new one.

The wind is evil, so much for the BBC forecast.

We have the worst ever floods forecast in the town, but not until tomorrow night or Wednesday morning.

All good fun, just hunker down and let it happen.

Where was I?

She said she wouldn’t ask me to do anything for her again, if I do, I moan. When she said that about my sister, I replied calmly ‘that was below the belt!’

Anyway, I let her rant on, and did she rant. I’m not a nice person, by the sounds of it. In the car, later, I tried to engage conversation, she said goodbye to Holly, then we drove to her garage, she said thanks for the lift, I said let’s not fall out, she replied ‘forgotten’. But no way will I forget. When I get her in a better mood (though lord knows when we will meet up again), I will state ‘that is the last time you ever speak to me like that’. She will probably blow up again. I have never spoken to either of my sisters in that manner, yet they think it is ok to treat me like it!

She was the one who booked an mot for early this morning, at a garage south of where we live, with an 11am nurse appointment, and knowing Holly was at the dog parlour at 1. I’d missed her earlier text messages to collect her, and wasn’t ready myself, so offered to get her from the surgery. By the time she went into the nurse it was a good 50 minutes after her appt time, and well after 12.15 when she finished. So she then had to rebook, saying her bp was too high for her injection. Apparently, because I was rushing her, I got the blame for that! Disregard the fact Holly’s appt was booked 10 weeks ago, and sister had left her mot booking right till the last minute (it expires the 26th).

So she refused to join me in Morrisons for lunch, because she can’t guarantee I will be nice.

I think I will just go off and slit my throat.

Hi everyone, I’m terribly late on here today as I got involved with a couple of odd jobs that I’d been putting off.

Sorry to hear your sorry tale @Jazzi , but families eh, what’s that old saying “you can pick your friends…” Hope it works out between you anyway, life’s too short…

I was going to start the thread myself first thing, but I would much rather give everyone else the chance rather than monopolising the task. By the way the tag thing isn’t all that complicated, just click on the tag box then start typing either “chat” or “daily threads” and you will see it appear just underneath. Just click on it and it will appear in the tag box and that’s it really…

Wishing you all a good afternoon.

Jazzi ,if it was me who had been spoken to like that ,I would put a lot of distance between us .and not offer any lifts again.

Well she said she wouldn’t ask for any help again. Let’s see if she forgets that in the future!
