Good Morning Monday - 21st March

Good Morning/Afternoon everyone - and Happy Vernal Equinox.

It is going to be a curates egg kind of a day for me. Saying ‘goodbye’ to my lovely and well used Wolfe Range which - thanks to new building/HSE regulations - I cannot replace - and ‘Hello’ to my new cooker. It took me a long time to find one that was not dual fuel and not made in China.

Also - am expecting some exciting (for me anyway) new crafty stuff - watch this space!

Have a fun day.

Happy Harmony Day (according to my calendar). Warmish day in the mid 20s and dry!

Went to a meeting with some seniors this morning then came home for lunch. My youngest son arrived about 2.30pm to pick up his dog. The dog was so excited to see him but wouldn’t get in the car, I wonder if it likes having a garden to defend rather than flat living?

Supposed to be really nice tomorrow with temps up into the high 20s, looking forward to that.

Enjoy your day…

Harmony Day - sounds lovely. What are the origins and how do you celebrate?

“Created in 1999 to celebrate unity and diversity, Harmony Day was originally an Australian celebration but is now marked worldwide by conscientious citizens.” So, if you don’t celebrate it, then you are not a conscientious citizen! Be warned.

I forgot to mention that on my way home I called in to Big W and bought myself a couple of warm hats for the winter. When I was travelling with my kids last June I was the only one without warm headgear but now I am ready for holidaying when the temperature gets down into single digits.

My daughter looking smugly warm while I froze

Good morning everyone!

No plans today really…I might do a batch cooking for the week - I’m trying to get into the habit of doing this regularly, because its healthy, easy on the budget, and saves time. Plus when I go back to work, I’ll be too lazy tired to cook from scratch.

Have a lovely day everybody

Good morning all, equinox or not, it’s just about the hardest frost here that we’ve had all winter! Promise of a sunny day ahead though, so that should help make up for it… :sunglasses:

In the garden today hopefully, Mrs B will be scarifying the lawn to get all the moss and debris out of it and I will be on clear up duties, so just something quick and easy for lunch out of the freezer, maybe a moussaka methinks…

Have a pleasant day everyone

Thank you, Bruce, I had not heard of it before. Does that mean I have to be harmonious with these rascally cats? They are like weazels with headaches this morning - could cheerfully dump the pair of them in the wheelie bin!

Don’t worry everyone - I won’t do it!

Good Morning All

A frost here as well.

I am laid up at the moment and on the morphine, so a day watching rubbish on TV lies ahead.

Morning everyone, still feeling a little chilly this morning, but the sun is shining so that’ll do me nicely.

No plans today. Well that’s pretty standard really, haha, I usually just take each day as it comes! I do have a little dress I want to make for my new granddaughter who is due in just over 2 weeks, so I might get on with that.

Then I’ve to pick up my other granddaughter from school, which I’ll be doing every day this week as my daughter’s got Covid. That is, of course, if I don’t test +ive, because I’ve been with her a lot so I wouldn’t be surprised

Have a good day everyone

Mornin’ !

I’ve been up since about 06-00 and it’s a beautiful clear, bright & sunny morning, though with a frost
That’s started to thaw now, and it promises to be a clear & warm day

I’m pottering about with domestic activities & tidying this morning, but this afternoon I’ll go shopping
I have a choice of most of the main supermarkets locally, but such is the way of the roads & one - way system, that most towns have now, Sainsbury’s is the one I use mostly
But I’ve worked out an easy way of getting to ALDI so I’ll try that for a change

Mornming all, on this bright frosty morning. The lawn is thick white frost.
Dogs been out, birds fed and watered, and a nice cuppa for me.

I have got to push the hoover round and try and look respectable, as I have someone coming this morning on business. Then after that I shall be back outside sorting out gardening jobs and which composts I need to get.

I woke up feeling very low. I have a lot of worries going on at the moment and sometimes it all gets just too much.

So I had tea and porridge in bed. Watched the news. Weighed myself which was very depressing. Had a shower using lots of lovely smellies. came back up to bed and sprayed around my bed with some Total De-Stress spray (Geranium, Orange and Nutmeg) now drying off and trying to be positive whilst sniffing that in. The sun is pouring in my bedroom and it feels like I am sunbathing!

One step at a time, Flowerpower. Sounds like you have a found a good way to start the day off anyway! :+1:

Good morning all :slightly_smiling_face: it’s a chilly 6°C and cloudy here, hope it will improve this afternoon.

Nothing special planned for today, usual day to day jobs.:grinning:

Enjoy your day folks….

Good afternoon everybody.

I’ve just had a phone call from the heating engineer who’s putting our new boiler in. He can come Thursday now instead of next Monday as originally planned. That’s cheered me up. Only 3 more days without heat & hot water.

Still nursing my broken elbow but the pains subsiding a bit now.

Have a good afternoon…

Good morning everybody.
A bright, sunny day here, but chilly. I have a dentist appt. for a cleaning, then a bit of shopping. A nice drive is something to look forward to.

Enjoy yourselves today.

Good afternoon everyone!

It’s a Bank holiday here in SA.
So, it’s a lazy day for me :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

However positive I aim to be, something always comes along to spoil it.
I got my bike out as it’s a lovely day and went off for a ride. The sun was shining, the daffs are out everywhere, the birds are singing. Then I met someone who told me that yet another friend has died (70) after suffering a brain haemorrhage . She just collapsed in her garden and her son found her but she died at hospital.
