Good morning all, the beginning of another week. Schools are back though it is a pupil free day in my area, the kids start back tomorrow. Annoyingly the school buses do arrive and depart empty today.
Monday morning cake and coffee as usual. probably the highlight of my social week. Sadly tomorrow I shall be attending the funeral of a friend, fellow cyclist and work colleague. Very sad, we had been friends for decades.
It rained overnight though it must have been very light rain, I didn’t hear it and was surprised to find the ground wet this morning…
An girding my loins to get stuck into painting the exterior of my front and back doors, hate painting, keep putting it off but alas, it has to be done.
Morning all. Another start to another week already.
It is supposed to be thundery down here in southern Hampshire, but its quite sunny and fresh out. Just come back from my daily walk and saw the waterway where I feed the swans was severely low due to lack of rainfall.
Anyways, I have a hedge which needs a good trim and will sit here sipping my coffee summing up the willpower to get out and give it a good go-over. There again, I may put it off until tomorrow.
Morning all – rain overnight, sunshine this morning but looking a bit overcast so I think we will be getting more rain.
I have spent the last couple of days bad tempered and in pain! When I left the hairdressers on Thursday my knee was hurting so badly I could hardly walk. No idea why, it was fine before I went in! Managed to get home without crashing the car and rested for remainder of the day. Got up Friday morning and almost fell down the stairs so have been doing very little since. Gradually the knee has improved although still have no idea what brought it on! A muscle pain rather than a joint pain.
BT are planning to switch the area where I live to full fibre broadband and between 8.30 last night and 8.30 this morning I have received 3 voice mails and 2 emails all telling me the same thing (they plan to visit on 20th August!)
Today I plan to venture out to do some shopping – wish me luck!

Afternoon everyone…
Thunder and lightning was forecast for the last couple of days but we’ve had none of it, just some heavy rain that caught out our neighbours yesterday morning. Fortunately I had done my walk before it started.
It was cooler and fresher this morning as I joined the canal towpath, but soon warmed up as I jogged part of it. It was only supposed to be a walk this morning, but sometimes I just can’t resist getting up on my toes…
Sorry to hear about your knee Sheila, perhaps some support might help, an elasticated ‘tubigrip’ usually helps me.
BT have been sending me countless emails and texts concerning the changeover from landlines and copper cables to fibre optic, but have not been in touch with an engineers appointment yet.
Had a wonderful thunderstorm yesterday evening … and the rain came down in sheets. Much fresher today for it.
I nipped out to get more ice cream as it’s going dull again. Oh and a bag of custard doughnuts. Oh, and something healthy … a punnet of strawberries.
