Good morning all, though to be honest it is arvo for me, it has been in the low to mid 30s today.
Just driven back from Canberra this morning, pretty easy drive this time of the morning once I had left Canberra. I had to drive my daughter to her work because none of her 10 cars were available (I am not joking).
Unpacked the car, not that there was much stuff, only away a few days, went out the front to discover the geraniums in full flower.
Wet and dizzily here on the south coast. Mrs G is off to meet someone who is going to dispose of the remains of her Father’s estate and while she’s away, I have a routine hospital appointment for some tests and a check up. After that, possibly some shopping. I would go for a walk, but it’s pouring down outside, so I’m sitting here trying out some stuff on my PC.
Good morning - Raining hard here. All thoughts of drought disappear once the rain comes but the water table is still very low according to reports and we need lots and lots of rain to recover from the long hot summer. The rain does make the outlook pretty miserable though …bloomin’ weather!
It looks like BT are running their fibre broadband cable along the road but at present, the crew is sitting in the wagon with the rain stopping work. When the service is offered, I might change to BT broadband from Virgin Media if the price is right.
Morning all – another cold grey wet start to the day
Neighbours arrived home yesterday afternoon – one of them quite ill, they think with food poisoning! Hope he gets better soon as they are due to go on a cruise on Wednesday. The beast is going into a cattery although I will be looking after her for a couple of days at the end of their holiday.
My problems with my mobile phone continue – it seems when they sort out one problem it causes another! I will have to ring them again today – I really don’t have the time or inclination to spend an hour a day talking to their technicians
Had a long telephone call from my brother (landline!). The new medication he is taking is making him very lethargic. He is due to see his oncologist at the end of the month to review the medication
My gardener was due today but as the forecast is for it to rain all day he has cancelled.
My exciting plans for today are housework and (joy of joys!) cleaning the shower
Wow! Look at those geraniums! Just beautiful! On the opposite end of the seasonal scale, all the flowers are putting out that final push of blooms before its bare branches and stems until March.
It’s a typical Monday around here with a list to do as long as my arm, but at the top of the list is washing the three dogs. With one at a whopping 85 pounds, I’ve learned the best place to do so is in the shower. As I have said before, I don’t know how I manage it, but I end up more soaked than they.
Wishing you all success with technology today!
Sometimes I wish I just had two tin cans and a string .
