Good Morning forum folks, another week, another post.,
Not much to report today, no walk this morning, coffee and cake meeting of course because it is Monday.
Yesterday arvo I flew my drone for a while because it was a warm still day. School returns this week though the public schools have two pupil free days so the kids are still hanging about the mall until Wednesday.
I have a job to do - repairing an outside tap, the metal post has rusted through and the pipe is more like a hose, definitely not copper so it is flopping about and annoying me.
Dawn has broken and it is very chilly, but no wind.
I have a bleed in my forearm, a right mess.
I have to rest it on my leg, sitting up, so my jeans are saturated with blood.
A side effect of two of the meds which keep me alive.
Rivaroxaban and Clopidogrel.
Both blood thinners, anticoagulants.
I have Unstable Angina, which means I can have an attack even at rest.
I am part of the Hospital at Home Scheme, but being a Scientist who hates being in Hospital I have a wider range of Meds to self administer in an Emergency
I can up my daily dose of Clopidogrel from 75mg to 600mg in an emergency, something they normally only do in A and E Resus.
Morning everyone, sorry to hear about your bleed Swim.
I’m just off for a very early appointment to Sheffield Northern General for the annual checkup on my ICD…Hope I can miss the early morning traffic…
Morning all, frosty start earlier but at least the sun is up…
Not too good here either healthwise, but at last I have an appointment this Friday at the pain clinic, who I desperately hope may be able to help me…
I too went to the doctor this arvo but mine was for some OxyNorm tablets because I ran out after my fall and for the doctor to send a medical certificate to the driving licence place so I can drive for another year.
Basically I have no complaints but I hope you fellas get better quickly, can’t afford to be sick at our age.
Yesterday I was taken to a Garden Centre , before the onward journey to an afternoon at the Concert Hall…Yesterdays performance was Sir Karl Jenkins conducting a piece called The Armed Man . It was incredible , I can Highly recommend going if you like orchestral music .
My day today is going to a Lung Cancer Screening Test, something that as just been brought in by the government .
Have a good day all ,and all those unwell, I hope you get your health sorted out soon .
Another sunny day here in southern Hampshire. Nothing too exciting going on here. I’m off on my daily walk, the wife is busy catching up with chores, later drop her off at the gym and from there, off to an ear specialist. Somewhen between all that, I guess a pub lunch somewhere. Not forgetting a coffee…
Morning all – another sunny start to the day although rain is forecast for later
Hope those suffering ill health feel better soon
Received 6(!) emails this morning from the cleaner telling me her visit had been rescheduled for half an hour later. When I replied pointing out a text would have sufficed she said she was having problems getting used to a new booking system – I just hope her cleaning skills are better than her computer skills!
Neighbours had their grandchildren visit yesterday – is there a better sound than children laughing and playing? When I spoke to them later they said the 4 year old had asked where the cat was. Trying to explain it to her gently they said that she had become very ill and the vet had to send her to heaven. The little girl thought about that and then said “so she is dead”. Sometimes children can be so matter of fact!
They are off on a cruise in a couple of weeks – they booked it a year ago to celebrate their anniversary but at the moment they don’t feel like going
Sort of similar yesterday - nine of us plus the wee two dogs. My daughter and her husband did most of the cooking on the charcoal grill in the garden. Vast amounts of everything !!! And my sister treated the dogs far too much…( Anyway, it was a lovely day for all of us !
