Weird weather, we are on the brink of summer and I have had to get the cardigan out again a max of 24° but the wind makes it feel much cooler. Really fed up with the wind! Fuel economy shot.
Sciatica playing up but survivable it wouldn’t matter if I was at home or driving it is the same, I am definitely going to have to speak to my doctor about it when I get home. Apart from that I am enjoying myself very much.
Spend most of the day crossing the Hay Plain first east to west before turning north to Ivanhoe. Think of somewhere vast, flat almost treeless and that is the Hay Plain. Lots of sheep and cows but bugger all else. Traffic was mostly road trains of stock heading south, I overtook no one and no one overtook me. Ivanhoe has a population of under 200 I think but is very spread out and not quite what I expected.
Discovered yesterday that the road from Ivanhoe to Wilcannia was sealed last year so slight change of plan, tomorrow will be heading north instead of south. Aiming for Cobar tomorrow, saves repeating today’s drive.

General tidying & pottering today, though I’ll probably go to a supermarket this afternoon when It should be warmer and the frost has cleared

The good news is that I slept well last night - to bed at about 22-00 and slept right through until I got up at 07-45
another load of leaves delivered to the dump this morning and Sue wanted to get a cuople of things from the shops. Bright sunny and cold morning so best to stay indoors

Can’t say there’s too much going on today, I may venture out and make a start on clearing my drive a bit later. Have some admin to do. No immediate plans after that.
Good morning - An early visit to the hospital to see the Oncologist. Our daughter goes home to Spain today but our son (lives in Germany) is here for the next two weeks. Just put him on out car insurance.

Felt a lot better this morning after sweating it out in bed last night, but didn’t feel up to doing my walk.
Nice and sunny outside but a bit on the cool side, I might try a walk tomorrow if it’s not raining.
Right behind you @realspeed. Last week’s freeze has resulted in another round of falling leaves. With a bright sun and no wind, I’ve run out of excuses to avoid the rakes and leaf bags.

@Bruce, the temporary answer might have been discussed yesterday. Buy a can of tennis balls and place one between the painful part of your hip and car seat, adjusting as needed. There are trigger point balls that work better because they are harder, but a tennis ball might get you through this trip.
Good to read that things are going well in the forum this morning, though it’s always a little bittersweet to send off one of your kids.
