Good Morning Monday, 17th March 2025

Good morning everyone, the heat has gone at least for today, turned into a sunny cool day.

Last night after it got dark I opened all the doors and windows, I think it just exchanged the air because it was no cooler, the southerly change didn’t arrive until midnight. The BOM observation records show 11:30pm - 30.1°, Midnight 21° ! Of course by then I was in bed with the doors shut and just one or two windows open.

Got up this morning the house is cooler but pleasantly warm but, after a shower and breakfast, when I opened the front door to go to my coffee and cake meeting it was bloody freezing, something like 17° outside, I had to rush back in and get my cardigan before facing the day outdoors.

It’s getting near noon now so warmer but not hot by any means, about 20° so still jumper weather.

This arvo I hope to finish my changes to the camper using the bits I bought from Bunnings yesterday.

Hope you face the new week with more aplomb than me. enjoy your Monday.

Take care…

Ha ha, Congratulations.

BTW your maths is wrong, your first birthday isn’t when you are born but a year later, I put it down to advancing years :icon_wink:.

Good morning all

Wishing @realspeed a happy 80th, and anyone Irish a Happy St Patrick Day , there are celebrations in town for the Irish .

I had a good time last night on the Rod Stewart tribute , the singer sounded just like Rod.
all the hits were played and we were encouraged to sing along .
The Guitarist had some solo parts and they were excellent as was the rest of the band .

Im now planning tomorrows trip to Hospital , which might be my final Xray on my Arm /Shoulder, no local taxis available they are on School contracts ,my appointment clashes with School start time .
Buses are not running to timetable , because of road closures , need to get my thinking head on .

Dinner meet up with my Grandson yesterday went well , I had Belly Pork roast dinner , at a place that once was a Victorian Music Hall , it still had the look of it …

Today is going to be more relaxing . Have a good day all .

Morning all – a bit dull and overcast this morning, but the sun is trying to break through

Happy birthday realspeed – do you have anything special planned to celebrate?

The beast was good again last night – no little gifts to clean up this morning, although she did refuse to go out so will go back in later. She is already getting lonely as she was “talking” to me, so I sat down and she immediately jumped on my lap and demanded cuddles!

A nearby council have been trying to install a “Liveable Neighbourhood” which has upset some residents. It is basically to only allow buses, cyclists and pedestrians to use certain roads. Residents are against the plan and, in the past, have shown up in large numbers to stop contractors working. It is now being reported that council workers arrived at 3.00 am one morning to install the barriers and signs, 6 local residents heard them, got out of bed and attempted to stop the work, only to find themselves confronted by 28 police officers which seems a little heavy handed to me!

After the indulgences at the weekend I have restarted my diet today – although if my bathroom scales are correct I haven’t actually put on any weight over the weekend!

Today’s plans are housework, shopping and paperwork

Take care – have a great day

A dull day. And already some action. The wee dog has a good walk at about 0700. The my drear wife went to my sister’s house to pick up some clothes - my sister went into hospital last night. At the same time there was a delivery at my sister’s flat. Here, the groomer arrived to collect our dog. And now the mailman for a few packages. Fun…

Good Morning from Roberts Residence…
Fox Towers
A bit dull outside but at 5 degrees C Its not too cold, or I should say, not as cold as the frosty mornings we have been having lately.
Same as you @Bruce I put my shorts on for a steady walk down to the surgery, but thought better of it when I poked my head outside…Brrrrrrrrrrr
My leg is improving in ‘leaps and bounds’ :icon_rolleyes: So a gentle walk might be just the ticket.
The moral of this story is:- We should not dismiss too quickly the testimonies of thousands of people who have suffered joint and muscle pain after taking statins.
Happy St Patrick’s day to all the Irish, and a special Happy Birthday to @realspeed well done mate…I hope you enjoy many more birthdays to come…Will there be dancing and supping at the Realspeed residence tonight?

It reminds me of something George Burns said at his 80th birthday party when he was asked “What would you like people to say about you in 30 years time?” He replied…“Happy 110th birthday George!”…
