Good morning to you all, 7.5mm of lovely rain overnight after a cold front moved through, now it is just a bit windy.
thank goodness coffee and cake was back in full swing this morning. It was entertaining to hear the woes of my friend as he told us about the saga of his home care package. Shouldn’t laugh that will be me in the not too distant future.
Spent a lot of time on the phone yesterday arvo with my daughter discussing our plans for our September trip. A return through Qld looks out of the question just because of time constraints which was a pity. We might plan a short trip to Lightning Ridge later in the year or early next.
Yesterday’s Trawden show was very good, all the usual sort of stuff you’d expect to see at a village agricultural show
I helped at the stands for Men’s Shed; we sold most of the items we’d made - chopping boards, tealight holders, nesting boxes, and others
Even the queues for the bar and the portaloos weren’t too long
All in all a pleasant day out
Today I’m catching up with the washing up, and might go the supermarket this afternoon or evening
Good Morning my lovelies and what a lovely day it is today.
Yesterday Sunday I visited Hinton Ampner high on the South Downs not far from Petersfield, Hampshire.
Hinton Ampner a gorgeous country house
Built in the 1700s although its been extensively remodelled over the years , indeed suffered a fire in the 60s and was a girls school during WW11.
Now owned by the National Trust.
