It has been a minute, but I’m finally at the end of the half term and wondering how quickly it has gone.
Currently tweaking a few lessons this morning but will be spending the day (and next week - yes, during half term break) preparing for the coming weeks as we head into data capture and the run down the xmas.
Managed to submit some work on my thesis but have not had as much dedicated time for my studies as I have liked. However, the gym has become my ‘go to place’ when I need to take time out, and I spend the hour and a half doing as much as I can when I am there. The next day, I am significantly calmer and less agitated, and tend to let things ‘flow’ more when I have exerted all that ‘anxious - what do I need to do next’ energy.
Well, the morning is moving along, and I have to move along with it.
I’m up early with the first mug of coffee
I feel better than I did a couple of days ago so I’ll be going into town to pay a bill at the bank, do a bit of shopping, and get a bacon butty & coffee, but probably not in that order
Good morning everyone, wet here too and more rain forecast for later but it’s doing good in the garden so no complaints.
Just a bit of cleaning on my agenda today and a light lunch of toast and eggs planned for lunch, but the rest of the day will take care of itself no doubt…
Best wishes to @carol , at present in hospital, I hope her recovery is swift …
Pippin’s new large crate arrived yesterday , I have put it up she loves it demonstrated by lots of rolling on her back tossing teddies around. I am hoping I can soon ditch the large playpen that that my twin grandsons originally used and get my kitchen back. At the moment I walk miles every day to get around the pen to the fridge and cupboards.
Pippin at 14 weeks today in calming down thank goodness, I was worried I had bought a wild animal into the house.
Good afternoon
Today is Trafalgar Day
On 21 October each year Royal Navy officers celebrate the victory at the Battle of Trafalgar by holding a Trafalgar Night dinner in the Officer’s Mess.
It ends with a toast to The Immortal Memory …
The Immortal Memory of Lord Nelson and those who fell with him.
I was only able to see Victory peeping out from under the covers , conservation work continues.
