‘Asia’ age 61, married, originally from Gt. Manchester and living in SE Asia. I’m an English and social science teacher employed in Inner Mongolia SAR (Northern China) for the past five years (250 miles NW of Beijing). Adopting a life style change of epic proportions in 2008 and after nearly a decade, with no regrets, touchwood.
A brief background comprises armed forces, various universities, a spell in residential mental health management and finally, settling with BT logistics.
In addition to passing the time of day and general chat, I enjoy writing articles about politics, travel, food, non-professional resume writing and SEO, plus education. I still miss pork pies, the English weather seasons and that beautiful sound of, “Oi mate, yer can’t park there!”
Hello Asia, you sound like an interesting guy and i’m sure you will find this forum very interesting for you. We are all friendly on here, so looking forward to your chats.
Thank you all, so far you’re all eligible for my monthly ‘purring cat’ award
I’m sure we’ll all cross paths soon and hopefully, not too many swords.
Looking through various posts, I sense an overall feeling of bewilderment and anger at what’s going on, often entirely based on belief and subjective opinion. Hopefully, I can add alternative explanations, without ruffling too many feathers.
Hello Asia, and welcome.
Most of us on here are generally pleasant but all of us can be temperamental from time to time just as you would expect in such a diverse group of individuals.
You will soon sort out the wheat from the chaff and are in for an interesting experience.
