And another early bird here
I woke up about half an hour ago, had a pee, couldn’t settle, so I made a cup of coffee and am browsing t’Net, but not porn, I assure you
Nothing much planned today; buy some fruit & veg, then potter around with hobbies
Been for my walk - much cooler and fresher here today - thank goodness.
First lot of laundry in - pot of tea brewing.
That nice Mr Sainsbury is due at 7:15 - big delivery - restocking heavy/bulky stuff like washing powder, domestos, white vinegar, loo rolls, kitchen rolls etc., - and wine!
@Swimmy - are you sure you are in a hospital and not a torture chamber? The get away car is still ready and waiting near the end of the escape tunnel.
Good morning all, cooler here too, looks like the intense heat has abated for the year, I must admit it was too hot for me at times over the last few weeks…
Just a quiet pottering around day for me, and I’ll have a trip over to my daughter’s at some point to start clearing up surplus tools and equipment that are no longer needed for her renovation project that we’ve been working on.
Highlight of my day (or not) will be meeting one or two ladies at my nearby church for the lunchtime concert. Usually held on the 4th Friday of the month. Today a chap will be playing the piano and organ. Fortunately it’s only 45 minutes of bum numbing torture, er experience. And we usually get a cuppa and biccie (donation) beforehand. Some of the performers are quite good, I must say.
Might dash to retail park after, if I take the car.
Cooler today and a bit of a dull start. Came down to a couple of parcels left by Connie, daughter’s lab. Bless her, she can’t help it, she’s losing control of her bowel and this happens quite often while she’s asleep. But, at over 14, it’s not surprising things are starting to go wrong. Overall, she’s a happy little soul, still has an appetite and still enjoys a (very slow, very short) walk a couple of times a day.
She’ll be going home later today - sadly she’s no longer able to get in the car, and she’s such a heavyweight now that it’s impossible for us to get her in! So Mr B will dig out his bus pass and take her on the bus - it’s virtually door to door, the bus stop is opposite our house, and at the back of our daughter’s house.
I want to finish the school cardigan I made yesterday - just got the buttons and buttonholes to sew. Then I’ll try it on my granddaughter - if the fit is OK I’ll cut out two more and get them made up.
Watering is in process. Sleep is messed up, partly due to heat, partly due to stuff I wanted to do when I could have been sleeping.
My masterclass was cancelled after I changed my schedule to attend it. I was disappointed and annoyed about that.
My plan is to have an uneventful day for the rest of it. I’ve already been surprised by something that I’m not sure how I’m supposed to feel about when I went out to water.
Morning all, and here’s to another better day Swimmy, on your road towards release.
Have planted some buddleia in front garden which will hopefully fill a gap in a year or two.
Off shopping to buy some food for a little get together tomorrow at a sick relative’s who we haven’t seen since before covid but who has gone into decline recently.
Not much planned have joined a couple of events on meet up groups (new to that) not much more actually bar thinking of planning a Christmas meal for work (my dept. maybe more)
A belated good morning…
…a bad start with heart playing football in my chest all night and till lunch time…
…arranged a replacement shower for my broken one,
…made chocolate cakes for 4 of my grandchildren, the 5th has gone to Mull with her mother.
…spoke to the vet about Chloe, she had a blood test yesterday and started on some new medication.
Feeling exhausted now…
Try to rest Meg ! None of us can do what we used to do, so it is hard to live up to our self expectations, but you have grandchildren that love you… so you will want to be up to chatting with them.
Put your feet up for a while & do something you find relaxing!
