It is a bit overcast this morning though the sun shines through intermittently. I hope you are all having a lovely Friday morning.
Went to the mall this morning and bought some seeds (Dahlia and Chilli) which I will be planting when the weather warms up a bit. Also bought some cotton for my sewing machine as I have a little sewing project later to make a bag for my new video light. Sewing is obviously not as popular as it once was they had a choice of black, white or navy - that was it!
Will go for my walk a bit later today as it was quite cool this morning. It is supposed to rain this evening which is OK (rain should only occur at night )
Bought four lottery tickets this morning, 8/8 and all that.
Morning all. Its a bit cloudy here in southern Hampshire but it looks it may brighten later.
Not much happening here today. Can’t believe its another Friday already. Mrs G is having her Chiropractor session, to be followed by coffee and then she’s off to visit her cousin. I have some shopping to do, then decide what to do next. Not the most exciting day I’m afraid, but something usually turns up.
This is a picture from the local newspaper. When I lived in the cottage I could stand at my bedroom window and watch the balloons ascend!
My Will fiasco continues! When I asked why I hadn’t received the certified copy of my Will I was told the solicitor who drew it up had been “off sick for a month” – pointed out he had been at my house 7 days ago! Then told he has been off sick for a week and his assistant will be “unable to locate” my file until he returns! I emailed their complaints office and surprise surprise I received an email this morning that a copy of my Will was put in last night’s post! Makes me concerned that if they have problems locating a current file – what happens when they have to locate a Will which was made several years before?
There is a coffee get together at church this afternoon – I may go if I can summon up the energy!
Once again I’m making a horrible mess with the indoor gardening!
Most of the young basil plants have been crammed into an indoorsy type window box. I’m going to pinch out the tips to encourage bushy growth, they smell gorgeous!
I’ve never been to Corfu Janice. I’ve been to Cephalonia a couple of times many years ago… great for snorkeling!
I guess it’s similar in Corfu… enjoy!
Just to add this was a terrific book!
I had to study it at school, an absolute pleasure
Good Afternoon peeps, just had to walk down to the chemist to pick up prescriptions for Mrs Fox and me, these boxes of tablets get heavier each time I go, I’ll have to start taking the car and drive the mile down to the shops…
At least the weather was nice for my early morning walk along the canal, hardly a cloud in the sky and not a breath of wind ruffling the surface of the water.
Soup of the day is Tesco Vegetable with a slice of hot buttered toast and a medium three star Sudoku puzzle to keep the brain nimble. Only another six puzzles to go (out of a book of 500 puzzles) before I get to the hard four star ones…Bring em’ on…
We were in Corfu back in 2011 at Nissaki Beach Hotel …Looks similar to your photo Janice…
That’s Turkey in the distance…
I was still running lots of stuff back then, and I went for a run on most mornings. The hotel was on a very steep hill so I had to tackle it first thing to get to the road at the top…good training though…
Hi all
Well I’m loving all photos thx , the balloon fest looks amazing.
Ive nowt much to report no exotic countries visited recently .
Just Gosport not a lot of people go there …I didn’t plan too.
Wednesday I decided to renew my dockyard pass, the queue was ginormous …so I got the ferry across to Gosport.
Walked to the explosive museum ( all part of the dockyard experience) and got a new pass .
Views from the Gosport ferry.
Doh I chopped the top off the Spinnaker Tower.
It certainly is Janice and Chilli has just made me consider going back sometime soon.
Sometimes you wonder why we go abroad when there are such lovely places right here on our doorstep.
