Good Morning Friday, 6th February 2026

Good morning all on another warm sunny summers day.

Yesterday arvo I did get my chest Xray done, I only had to wait about 10 minutes and the whole thing was over in another five minutes or so. Digital makes such a difference, no more swapping plates etc.

This morning after my walk I decided to get the pathology test done so I called in to find out what was needed, I was told I needed to get a ventolin puffer from the chemist. Ha! I thought I have one at home from one of my Grandson’s. Went home and found it, unfortunately it expired in 2023 so I had to buy one anyway  When I went back there was a queue so decided not to wait, might try again this arvo or even wander up to another pathology place.

Apart from that what else can I say? Oh yes… before I went out on my walk I threw all my laundry into the machine so that when I returned I was able to hang it on the line

My god, I live an exciting life!

Have a good one.

Take care…

Good morning everyone and Bruce,
Thanks for the update, @Bruce it really does sound like a very productive and efficient couple of days. Digital X-rays certainly make things much easier now, don’t they.
As for me, I woke up at 5:00 this morning, looking around the house and realizing I still haven’t had the time to properly tidy things up since returning from my sister’s funeral. I’ve been working every day, but I’m hoping this weekend I’ll finally have some time to clean the house and make it feel more pleasant again. Even my plants haven’t been watered for over a week, I think.
Today feels like the first day I can truly start to come to terms with everything. It doesn’t feel as heavy or uncomfortable as it did before, especially during my drive to work when memories would keep appearing again and again. I understand that parting is a natural part of life, it happens to everyone. Time really does help things heal.
I stopped by the gym before work and treated myself to a cold drink to cool down a little.
Wishing everyone a good day ahead.
Take care and stay well.

Good morning all…

Damp and grey start to the day, I’m off on a photoshoot hoping the rain will ease off. If it doesn’t, may have to cancel until later in the year. which would be disappointing - but these things happen. Obviously, I will need a coffee-fix on the way, possibly accompanied by a bacon roll. Maybe a muffin to follow.

Have a great day all…

 :umbrella: :camera:

Good morning!
Dull, grey, cloudy, and drizzling

Well, this is about the 3rd or 4th day that I feel better and not sneezing - I really do hope that my flu bug is clearing up
I’m not out of the woods yet though - I still feel weak, and a bit shivery now & again, but less frequently
Let’s hope I continue to improve

I’m going into town this morning to do a few errands
Nothing much planned for this afternoon, but I hope to catch up with bits of paperwork - and keyboard work? - and cleaning that I haven’t done for weeks

Hello from a soggy South Yorkshire… :rowing_man:
It rained all night, and it’s still raining, and the forecast is for more rain for the rest of today (some heavy) and all day tomorrow…Now I know how Noah felt…
I do envy @Bruce and @Pimmy with their pleasant weather…

Didn’t feel up to walking today so I’ll give it a rest for a couple of days.
Slept most of yesterday and had a better night. Not as much dreaming and peeing…
Can’t speak for the snoring…

I fancy starting a book, I’ve got a couple queueing up to read…
Soup of the day will be Tesco Vegetable…
Fresh Salmon for dinner tonight with mash and veggies…
Unless anything exciting happens I’ll catch yer all later…

Good evening all!

Not much to say really!
I was up with the lark as per usual… seems like an eternity ago
It was the final day of a course that I’d been attending, met some seriously interesting people and enjoyed every minute of it.
One fella bought in a rather unusual tin of James Bond Film poster chocolates to share…

I had to have this one!

It’d almost be a shame to eat it! :open_mouth:

Enjoy your evening people! :+1:

Good evening from me too,I’ve just recently returned home after staying in town a couple of days at my daughter’s apartment. I had to wait for the damage on my car being repaired, caused by another driver doing a reverse, two days ago. Luckily no insurance involved, the other driver without hesitation, accompanied me to the mechanic and paid for the repair work. Fortunately a nice, understanding person.

I’m watching the Winter Olympics opening ceremony in Milan at the moment, I don’t usually bother with these sort of things but for some reason this time I’m curious.

That’s the way to go @Pimmy, you’re an inspiration. I know it’s hard, but be strong, your sister will always be with you.

So it’s Friday. It’s the last day of my radio therapy ! And very sleepy after seven weeks of it.

Even as I write I’m listening to the head of the Italian Olympic Committee giving his speech.
I don’t normally watch the winter Olympics Rose, but I might just look in this year…
Well done Italy…
