Good morning all you Forum fiends, I am getting in early to make up for my tardiness on previous days.
This morning I was out early for a visit to the supermarket for milk, the Coles Rocky Road has been replaced by Coles Snow Drops, hardly an adequate replacement but I still couldn’t resist buying a packet even though they are just chocolate coated marshmellow with a sprinkling of coconut.
Back home I pushed some geranium cuttings into the ground at the bottom of the garden, hopefully the rain tonight will see them survive, though it is more likely I will forget and spray them with Roundup
On the public holiday Monday night I am off to Sydney to pick up my son’s flat keys, he will sleep on his ship that night, as they sail in the morning. I want to use the flat at the end of this month, being in the centre of the CBD is very convenient, he is away for a couple of months.
Must remember driving offences are double demerits this long weekend.
Not much else going on this Friday, hope you have a more exciting day. Take care…
Good morning! It’s a beautiful sunny day here in South Africa, and you can really feel the stirrings of spring.
My boyfriend, Mr. Weaver, has been busy building his nest. Out of all the nests he’s made, this one might just be the most underwhelming. Poor Mr. Weaver is fluttering around, hoping to attract a mate, but I have a feeling this nest will be swiftly rejected by a discerning female.
Well, that’s my morning so far! I’ve fed the birds, and now it’s off to the office - it’s my bosses birthday today so we’re having a small office party. Wishing everyone a wonderful day!
Good morning …well that’s it so far. Hope everyone has a good day.
Edit: Dropped Mrs mart off in town so she could buy some items in Hobbycraft and give the some other things to the charity shop. I went on to my bother’s house to make sure all was well. Gathered a few useful (to me) bits and pieces left behind by the house clearance people. The place held a lot of memories. Sad to see it stripped almost bare.
Drove home and tidied the garage. Mrs mart came home on the bus an hour or so later.
Just had lunch consisting of half a bread roll spread with pâté and crispy chilli in oil, a whole roll with cheese and Branston pickle, a few radishes, some home grown baby tomatoes and some grapes. A mug of tea.
Just goes to show that there’s no such thing as a day with nothing to do even when I think there is. Going to watch a bit of TV through my eyelids now.
Morning all – bright start to the day with sunshine forecast for the whole day (whoopee!)
No gifts from the Beast this morning although she did demand lots of cuddles before having her breakfast – I think she is definitely lonely, her regular servants are due back in a week so she doesn’t have to put up with me much longer
Alarm was tested and serviced yesterday so I am safe for another year!
Having lunch with sisters in law today – not seen them for a while so it will be good to catch up
Those nice people at Openreach have managed to sort out the problem and I can sit comfortable eating my porridge while perusing the forum or visiting the bank…
Cold this morning (6 degrees C) when I went out for my walk/jog, but it was dry.
I put the heating on for an hour or two last night, I’ve disabled the clock and just turn it on when we need it. Not because we can’t afford it, but because I’m a tight old bugger and it makes you soft…
Happy, happy Friday to all A most lovely Friday it is

Wishing everyone a most blissful Friday, stay safe and happy.
Thanks Besoeker, I’ve been with BT for 9 years now and although losing my phone and internet has only happened once before they soon put it right.
There has been a lot of communications engineers rolling out the new fiber and phone systems recently. I think we will soon be changed over to the new faster system shortly, I think our loss of service is down to that.
