Good Morning Friday, 3rd April 2026

Good morning all on this Good Friday, the bin truck has bin and gone enjoying double time and a half while the local Christians have wandered past my house on their way to and from the nearby catholic church.

It’s a bit overcast today though not cold, currently the temperature is about 27° I doubt it will get much warmer.

No walk for me this morning, I take my dog sitting duties very seriously :icon_wink: This dog is a Labrador, quite big and strong, it is the only one of my kid’s dogs that I no longer take for walks. If it decided to run I don’t think I could stop it, just too much mass.

We do however have a bit of fun in the garden fetching balls, ropes, indeed anything it can pick up in its mouth basically.

My son in law should arrive soon by train after the party in Sydney last night, apparently the birthday person had taken over a night club for the event. My daughter will arrive later in their car fresh from another appointment at the tattooist.

I will be offering my son in law copious amounts of beer when he arrives because for the third year in a row all trains on the South Coast line are being replaced by buses so I suspect he will be fed up with travel by the time he returns. You’d have thought the State government could have postponed the maintenance while the fuel shortage is on - probably too sensible an idea.

Anyway my day has consisted of games with the dog, she does drop rather obvious hints, not a bad way to spend a public holiday, the streets are deathly quiet.

Enjoy your day of rest.

Take care.
