Good morning Friday 3nd July 2026

Good morning one and all…

Bright and sunny day yet again here on the south coast.

Not too much going on today. Just off for a fry-up breakfast, the wife is off to spend the day with her family to catch up on all the gossip going on. I’ll be still clearing away brambles and taking it all to the local tip - still have a few days left at it. After that, probably some house chores if I get time.

Have a great day all…

Morning all – another sunny day ahead – if it stays at this temperature I will be happy!

As we haven’t had rain I watered the neighbours garden last night – have to say the strawberries are looking very inviting! Actually I know they would be happy for me to help myself but it’s not something I feel comfortable doing!

I have a parcel arriving today (yes, yet another) so I will have to put off my trip into town until Monday – actually not such a bad idea as it is bound to be quiet with so many people staying up to watch the football on Sunday night!

Take care – have a great day

Hi

Good Morning All.

A lovely, sunny, day here and not too hot.

An interesting morning, since my fall here I have been stuck in bed, this morning it was shower time.

I normally shower myself, but not allowed to do so after my fall.

It was my first ever assisted shower with a female, apart from girlfriends and it was also her first time doing an assisted shower on her own.

Her being Danni, 19 years old, just passed her first set of exams and I was her first male assisted shower with her on her own.

A very nervous start by the both of us,but we ended up laughing , which was good.

Now sat upin bed, cleam as a whistle and smelling of the three different ointments she had to use.

I am stuck in bed until Monday when I get assessed to see if I can be let out again.

I am missing the Big Quiz, the fish lunch and then the Mad Hatters Tea .

All good fun, however I have a stunning view from my window to make up for it.

Have a good day all.

I have had an interesting morning I walked into Macclesfield, I have a gripe about the completely stupid pedestrian walk signals which are just a panel about chest height with button.

My complaint is that that is all there is, nothing on the other side of the road to tell you when it is safe to walk and no noise to indicate that it is safe to cross, just the light changes on the panel

Apart from that I had an enjoyable morning walking about, I got stung by nettles because I brushed against them, I had forgotten about them but as soon as they stung me i recognised them.

I forgot to take my camera so had to use my phone. The poshest car park I have ever come across, Jordongate Carpark.

I had to take a pic of this at the end of my brother’s street.

and the old gaol.

I don’t know if it is just a Macclesfield thing but the footpaths are in terrible condition. I have to be honest I found the cars whizzing past so close a bit unnerving, just not used to it.

I felt very cold when I set out but the walking warmed me up and I had a great morning out
